File format changes when downloading mods for stardew valley

Hi I've just recently started playing stardew valley and have tried downloading texture packs and mods like 'rainy day clothing' by illogicalmoodswing, but when I have downloaded it opens my art program and turns into one of it's files. The file it turns into is the same format of files from my art program I use called Krita. I don't know much about files or code or such so i'm not sure how to reslove this or even ask about it in the right way. I will attach some images of the file format and when i download it.

I have smapi and all the other required mods for what I need to download its only when the texture packs are like images I believe. I can download mods not texturepacks

I choose manual download.

If you're using "Manual Download" this is nothing to do with Vortex.

 

You've set the art program as the default app to open ZIP/7Z/RAR files. You'll need to fix this manually.

Oh I did try do this at some point its for my .exr files that its default app is krita but there is no other app that I can open it with. Do I need to download a specific app?
