bben46
You CANNOT!! use the update from an older version to update to v.46 - the older version had a problem and we had to stop it from being able to go online - and if it cannot go on line, it cannot update itself. You MUST update it manually.
LeddBate
In response to post #10839710. How do you check if your router, AV and or browser isn't blocking the download. Router: This is either one you bought/installed or one provided to you by your ISP (phone or cable company.) If you bought/installed it, then there should be a manual or a quick-install sheet with an online link to a file (most likely a PDF) that will explain how to adjust settings and restrictions. If it was provided by your ISP, most likely same thing -although there's likely to be more elaborate "help" options available (possibly in "chat" format.) In either case, you want to navigate to the download restrictions that your router automatically enacts and see what they are (and what you can adjust.) Anti-Virus: There are WAY too many AV programs available for me to do more than generalize. Having said that -most AV programs have a "Internet Settings" section where you can set security levels for downloads (somewhat like UAC in Windows) and (usually) tell it to allow "exceptions" from certain websites. Most AVs also record their activity in text files. Review them to see if your AV is deliberately blocking downloads from nexusmods. Browsers: This is a bit easier. Most browsers have an option in security (example for Firefox: Options, Options, Security, Exceptions) that you can check to see if your browser has (for some reason) blocked nexusmods. Be careful not to accidentally "unblock" all the sites listed there. Your browser has (usually) blocked them for good reasons! KingOfVagabonds
95% of the time when I try to download a mod for Skyrim, it will start the dowload, but after a while it will say "Error: file does not exist" or something similar.
