Whatever game you plan to mod today, type the name in the search bar at the top of the games listing, then select "manage".

 

Next time you want to start modding a game, do the same with that game.

 

There's really no reason why you should have all of them done at once.

If you have to manually select the folder, it means Vortex couldn't find the game on Steam, GOG, Xbox, UPlay or Origin on your PC. Each game extension has to include the relevant metadata to detect the game on those platforms. If the metadata isn't known, then it means you'll have to pick it manually.

 

If it's not working either there's something weird with your game store data or you may not have a recognised copy of the game.

So what can I do? Everything is downloaded from Steam itself. I had it working on my old pc but that was a year ago.
