AlreadyFree
For non-nexus mods, is there a way to manually tell Vortex that a downloaded mod that's being installed is an update to a mod that's already installed? That way the old mod is automatically uninstalled and I don't lose all the metadata I manually added for that mod.
Pickysaurus
Not without whatever source you're getting the mod from integrating with Vortex.
AlreadyFree
Seems like that would be a fairly simple and useful option to add to the context menu. Click on installed mod and tell vortex to update that mod from a specific zip file.
Guest deleted34304850
how would vortex know to update the mod? because you tell it to? read these forums mate, take a look at the people making the posts - i wouldn't trust half of them to wind up a clock. what you're proposing is a guaranteed way to give people a bad day. showler
What "metadata" are you losing?
AlreadyFree
What "metadata" are you losing?I'm manually filling in the metadata for non-nexus mods (name, category, source, website, notes, version number) so i can keep track of what it is and where it came from. As it is now I have to copy and paste all of those forms after each update.
Pickysaurus
You could always request the mod be uploaded to the site? That would solve your problem in the simplest way
