Elanthil01 Posted March 29, 2023 Share Posted March 29, 2023 I have always had an issue, with FO3, new vegas, and FO4 with resources. In the past, I have extracted all the resources I use from the game using a BSA editor, because otherwise I cant pull up things like icon pictures and such from the editor when editing, but have had the issue that, if I dont upload the resources I use along with the mod, it doesnt work right when being played. Can anyone tell me how to access FO resources without having to include them in the mod ? This is a critical question, because it is illegal to upload game resources from the unmodded game. RoNin1971 Posted March 29, 2023 Share Posted March 29, 2023 ?Its a bit vague what exactly you mean by 'resources', but you really shouldn't need to include anything that's already part of the game files, unless you changed it. showler Posted March 29, 2023 Share Posted March 29, 2023 The CK should be able to read the resources directly from the BSA. If you need to extract them in order for other programs to access them, you need to make sure they have the exact same filepath as they did while in the BSA. pepperman35 Posted March 31, 2023 Share Posted March 31, 2023 When you use resources from other mods you create a dependency on that mod, a the user of your mod will need to have all those mods installed in order for those resources to be available.
