Pronam
Owk.. Couldn't reach you via the normal way...What island will you do, cause you wanted to let me do one of them.....? How about a good/evil thing...?Which one do you want to prefer to do then?Cause we could split the islands....in good/evil....Its obvious which one will be the dark-part... Please choose, I've got little time to spare.... :)I shouldn't be on this forum right now, anyway...:)
Ranokoa
Well i suppose we can do a good and evil thing. Add another island for those who are not evil, make this one for evil.. That will have to wait for a little bit because i need to make sure we have functionality in certain fields, and if we dont, i need to edit around it to accomidate.. Well im not really sure there is a sly way to say what i want to say to you without others knowing >_< Anyways...
Pronam
Hmm, I see some possibilities though... I guess the functionality could be bend if necessarily. Although that would give us 5 ...That would need 5 scripts, fortunately we have 3 already... hmm, maybe the other 2 could be done in a more easy. way... Nevermind... :) Its obvious who will do which part, right ;)... How about the dungeon... we got the ideas...did you have anything else in mind.. or should we go the islands right now?I will send that fixed script tomorrow.. I got more in my hands than I can bear at the moment....
Ranokoa
Nah, however i WILL make the islands, we will not do them immediantly. we need spells done first so we can get some functionality tests firsts. I mean, we have multiple rooms, 128 prison cells, and a mess of scripted things we need to get done first that involve other NPCs, so the islands can wait a couple days. Plus, it gives me time to clutter them if i dont have to wait for your version. BTW: The starting quest to obtaining the fort is going to be changed. It will be somewhat what i said, but OWNING the fort will actually be different than just that. (After you defeat the lich) Necro: He.. He's dead? Oh thank Akatosh he's dead!Necro: I can't thank you enough! You saved my life! If you had not come along, who knows what would have happened to me.You: Well now you don't have to worry about that.Necro: Yes, indeed you're right. You: What about that reward you mentioned?Necro: Oh yes, I almost forgot.Necro: These ruins hold an ancient secret, a dark and powerful pocket of energy lies beneath it, so vast in its magnitude that the laws of time and space do not apply within the forts walls.Necro: While it may appear to be normal and generic as any other fort, you will soon find out what I am talking about. You see, the magic has bent the space, so to speak, so it is actually much larger and more expansive than this mountain appears to be able to hold. Necro: Should normal laws apply, you would see the halls pertrude right out of the mountain side. It is almost like stepping into another dimension. You: So what does this have to do with my reward?Necro: Everything! The fort is now yours! That is, however, if the fort will allow you to be its owner. You: What are you talking about? Is the fort alive?Necro: It is both alive and not alive. Confused? So was I at first. I will tell you this, I have spent the last two years trying to gain the forts acceptance, but I was never successful. If you are, then you will see quickly the powers that it hold. Necro: Here is the key, I no longer wish to own the fort. It is too dangerous for me, and I fear further attempts on my part will bring my own destruction. I have a feeling that I didn't in fact loose control of the lich, rather, the fort gained control instead. Necro: If you are confused, do not worry. You can read my journals inside, it will explain everything about the fort, including what you must do to gain its acceptance. Of course, in my case, it is not that I failed in the tasks required to gain it's acceptance... it.. It is just the fort does not WANT me to be its new owner.Necro: I must go now. I have other, important things to attend to, new discoveries to make. I thank you again for your help. It is a new feeling to be helped when hated by many for being a Necromancer. You truely are someone of compassion. Necro: Farewell my friend. (key added) Cutscene - can not move (Necromancer begins to fade away as he says one last time [not in conversation] "Be well, sleep well, fight well... and.. as always.. Live long!") Although i have ideas on what to do next, i want to make sure they are possible before i begin to continue this.
Slawter500
One of those trial halls i thought of could be on speechcraft, although nothing to do with the S*** minigame, You enter the hall, and you begin to have visions, You're at dive rock, standing at the very tip, And an enemy(Dremora?Perviously defeated character?) is standing there poised to push you off, And you have to choose the correct topic to escape him pushing you off, you start with topics to save your bacon, then slowly drive him to despair at which point he falls to the ground with sadness, if you choose the wrong topic he pushes you off, Then the world swirls out again, and you find yourself facing a stone face in the wall(During your hallucination you were speaking the keywords to the wall) the mouth opens and reveals whatever your getting to get through the trial hall. Also the higher your speechcraft the less options you have when negotiating your way out of the dive rock situation. Il come up witgh more later if you like. Ranokoa
Idk, this umm.. Well it would be good for a mod, but this perticular thing doesnt really sound like it would fit in Fort Death.. im just trying to come up with a quick acquisition quest, not some overly scripted thing.. HOWEVER, if its both possible and vicICE is willing, it DOES sound good to Fort Fear, i can think of multiple ways to fit that in.
apocalypse1138
Well, I'll re-iriterate what I meant by the effect of the bind soul...(even though you prolly wont use it...:P I don't have anything better to do atm...:P) Ok...you bind your soul to the fort...and the negative effect is cutting most/all stats in half...since your soul is in two pieces now...however the positive effect is that when you die/or slightle before then you respawn in the fort by the orb...being saved however could include additional negative effects... -Well, now that's done... need any ideas atm? :P
Ranokoa
Hmmm.. i suppose thats not a bad idea.. Idk about cutting everything in half, however. And considering if you bind your soul somewhere, your soul wont be split, your body will simply have no soul. You will be walking in a shell with your mind, your soul trapped in the forts. The negative affect i think would be that if you do not visit the fort at least once a weak, you will be given a disease.. or actually ability.. called "home sick". And, when you rez, you will be given a disease called Resurrection Sickness, that will drain your STR, INT, PERS, LUCK, and SPEED by 5 points. It will be a curable disease. Lets see if vicICE is up to the task, as he would be the scripter. Personally, i dont care if we use it or not. A good idea yes, but idk. Well, i am a bit tired ATM so i could just be less attracted to the idea because i just woke up and am barely awake lol. Nice idea though.
Slawter500
Maybe with the bind soul, the further from the fort you are the faster your stats detiroiate.
