Pickysaurus
Try logging out and back into Vortex. It's likely your session has expired (we're working on fixing this in 1.9)
FreakyDeluxe
Hi, just wanted to say I get the same error. Installed vortex yesterda and downloaded a collection for Skyrim SE. But when downloading the mods of the collection I got said error. Since then no matter what mod I download, I get a 403 response. Manual downloading works though. Logging out and back in did not work either. Important aide-note, though, I installed vortex on my Steam Deck. Not sure how this could cause a *server* error though. Edit: just noticed that op is also using a steam deck/Linux... Edited July 28, 2023 by FreakyDeluxe
Pickysaurus
We do not provide support for Linux/Steam Deck so there's possibly something wrong there
FreakyDeluxe
I know, I know... Is there any way I can debug this myself? Given that this is an Electron app, can I somehow open the Dev console? The logs alone are not really giving any more information than already provided by the error message. On a side note, I switched to the beta channel (1.9.2) and the same issue is still there. FreakyDeluxe
I managed to open the dev tools with the "--inspector" command line argument. I attached the debugger at various places already, that I thought are related to downloading, but I think they are mostly redux-store stuff for the UI. Could you, or some dev, point me to the right files/lines where I should add breakpoints to investigate the issue?
Blstery
I am getting the same error, however in my case it is for logging into Vortex. I have tried using a token, restarting my computer, and reinstalling vortex. It was working without issue before, and it seemed to stop functioning while I was using the program downloading mods off of nexus using the NMM download. Manual installation still functions. EScompletesaga
so is this gonna be solved? i have 403 all the time when my browser or a mod manager wants to access api.nexusmods.com or data.nexusmods.com which is required to authentication or request specific data from nexus. it only works if i enable a VPN... Solution showler Posted August 13 Solution Share Posted August 13 If it works when you enable a VPN then the problem is on your end. Either your PC or, more likely, your ISP. Try contacting your ISP with the information and see what they say.
