Fantastfisk
Hello Fallout mod community I am just getting started using the Fallout 4 Creation Kit.I did a few tutorials from the sticky threads, one of them was to make a new NPC with a dialogue. I saved that as TestyGuy.esp. It worked and the Testyguy appeared, but then I wanted to edit the dialogue. I opened "Data..." the TestyGuy.esp and made the changes, and saved that as TestyGuy2.esp. Now, restarting Fallout 4, I selected Testyguy2 instead of Testyguy in the Load order. Then the NPC never got placed in the world.I then tried to go back to Load order and load Testyguy.esp before Testyguy2.esp but then dialogue was as the first time, unchanged. How do I open the previously made esp to expand on it and make changes? Can I merge those two esp files into one mod? I suppose that some of these excellent tutorials can show me how, there are so many of them and I plan to watch more, but I also want to get started doing fun stuff I can show to my kids. showler
You need to set any mod you are editing as the "active file". Otherwise you will create a patch for it.
