Dark0ne, we really appreciate these updates. We can see that you're battling mightily (and sacrificing much personal time) to get these issues resolved. I'm guessing that your recent, ahh, "discussions" in this thread were... a kind of catharsis for you. If so, hope you're feeling better now.

 

Please know that the vast bulk of us (as opposed to the shrill minority) are rooting for you and your coders and do understand that this is going to take time to get all straightened out.

I've been getting file does not exist errors in NMM when clicking download with manager. I switched the server location setting back to default from Europe and unchecked the only premium servers option. This seems to have made it more reliable although it still craps out occasionally.

It´s a bit annoying though, to do it during the whole weekend, as yesterday evening was the same...

Currently we are seeing our sites balk at 8500 users all trying to download at the same time. It's being worked on.

Why do these problems always have to happen on weekends? Well, that's when there are more people trying to download more mods than during the week when a lot of you are in school or at work.

 

Why can't we be as reliable as Amazon or some other sites? Amazon and those other extremely reliable sites are only there to allow you to give them money for products (profit) - our product (mods) is FREE. And besides that you do not have to pay anything either. Being premium does not get you any more or better mods than the leechers. :confused: They have a dedicated staff of hundreds of paid support people working 24/7 - we have just a very few paid support people that do need to sleep from time to time, They have a support budget of millions - Our budget is somewhat smaller. :rolleyes: They own their servers and back up servers on specially built sites with multiple redundant back up.- We haven't quite made enough millions to build our first dedicated server facility yet ( and probably never will) Instead, we lease from various server companies.

 

FYI, if you are allowing ads on the sites, you are not a leech. By just allowing ads, you are helping to pay for the servers, tech support and NMM development. We are NOT considering blocking or limiting people that do block the ads. We always hope they will at least contribute by helping on the sites in some way - even if it's just tagging a few mods from time to time. :thumbsup: if you don't like ads ( and who does?) a supporter account costs only about US $2 - that is ONE payment ONE time and NOT a subscription for no ads forever. :dance: Plus there are a few other benefits as well.

Do you know of any other site that does this?

 

Note that anyone who ever buys even one month of Premium access (less than US $5) automatically gets supporter status forever for no more money. :woot:

Just wan t to say I think Nexus is the Best. I don't download from anywhere else except steam (which I rarely do as they don't show up on my NMM load orders.) Keep up the good work guys. Fight the Good fight!

I cant get any mods to download either via the Manager or manually as suggested all i get is file does not exist even though they do no matter what server is picked, there are users on the servers so i know they are being used but nothing will download :(

 

Edit.. hmm seems to be ok now must be a on off glitch of some kind

BTW, it usually works in a few tries. Just be patient and don't forget which file you were trying to download.
