Has anyon tried to install the GOG FO4 yet?

I have FO4 from Steam on "normal" install location (program files 86)

I want to install GOG FO4 in a seperate drive.

My G drive is empty and a 1T SSD, perfect for putting all my FO4 stuff from GOG I think.

BUT I am not sure how to port over Vortex to read games files there and I am concerned I might break my carefully curated well working mods list ( nearly 300 active mods in a pretty stable game) and I feel I need to have the gaming utilities such as Buffout 4 etc act on the new FO4 location as well.

I am willing to lose my game savefiles if need be, its not a big deal to me to start over again (and again) thats part of the fun for me.

But I would like to keep my Vortex mods intact acting on the new FO4 location to include my transfer settlement files if possible (but even loss of TFB files is not a deal breaker)

Any gaming Gurus willing to walk me through?

Does this require an updated version of F4SE/Address Library?

Only asking because they removed the CC which means they changed something in the .EXE.

Is the version number the same?

I'm replacing my Video Card tomorrow so I haven't got the GOG version yet (since I couldn't run it even if I did).

If you use Mod Organizer 2 you need to put -forcesteamloader in the arguments box for F4SE or it won't load the F4SE mods.

I ended up rebuilding my PC and ran across this issue. From the guys at MO2 forum it sounds like they will need to do an update to F4SE afterall.

GOTY version is working and flying like a bic :)
FSE just dropped it in and current version works flawlessly..
using Vortex.. only thin i did DIFFERENTLY this time was told Vortex to use a Staging direcory for the mods OUTSIDE of the user/xxxxxx/ protected directories this time..

speaking of which , there is also game-specific discussion forums ON Gog.com

My honest take? I truly felt like the GOTY version was a lot 'tidier' and more fluid and lucid to use :)

PS: I use Vortex.

Still trying to figure this out.

Would like to move all my FO4 content to that empty drive.

Or maybe should I just start DLing Vortex into that drive then DL F)4 from GOG into that drive and thenbring over my savegame and hope it will play nice with each other?

This should be stickied on the front page lol. Almost redid my whole LO, it wouldn't load any DLLs- this fixed it!
