Vortex Issues

Hey!

 

I don't know it is just me or that is common, but two days ago i was starting up my vortex, and works properly as expected, and then i got an error message about corrupted files, and no matter how many times i reinstall everything the program just never want to fix itself. I am literally have no idea what to do with it. And no, it is not mod related because the Vortex causing itself for i don't know why. Anybody an idea? Pretty annoying i can't start any games with Vortex anymore because keep crashing the games to. Fallout 4, Bannerlord, Skyrim, My Summer Car... every single one of them.

You should reinstall Vortex to repair this. It's likely something else on your PC (best case a security app, worst case it's malware) deleted or edited core files in the app.

As i see you not even read what i wrote up there. Cool cool... okey. I have to ask then. How many times, a complete removal supposed to happen, to make this dumbass problem be gone? I have Nod32, Security Premium, and done Malware search to because i have tool for that to. Both paid, original, not pirated crap. I am willing to pay for everything i use, when i see the makers of it deserve the payment. But Vortex always cause some bullshido, not really convinced about the Nexus team deserved the payment yet. The Nexus Mod Manager was stable and reliable. Literally, used the Vortex one day, next day used it to, then quit it because exit the game i use vortex with, then changed my mind and i wanted to relaunch it, and this happened. I literally repeat myself now the third time like a parrot. Reinstalled it. Several Times. Deleted every single file. Reinstall it, and the very first start, the same message i got. There is No Virus on my pc and stuff because i NEVER download anything outside of steam, NEVER go to questionable sites, like most of the unknown porn sites or whatever sites, NEVER open any links from unknown source, not even from facebook to. Don't do the blame game on my PC because if it caused by my PC i should know about it and not post this topic. I posted this because this is the Nexus Vortex problem. So here, and fix it! Or tell me how to Fix it. You made it, you should know of it's weaknesses.

Don't censorship the problem! It is still there! Not solved! Still not work!

no-one is censoring you, the resolution has been given. your anti-virus programs are causing the issue. nothing anyone can do about that, except you.

so, stop them, install vortex, start them again. done.

and, get better anti-virus products.

To add a bit more detail to help you understand what's happening here:

During startup, Vortex scans all the files inside its installation folder and verifies they match the ones that are expected. If any files have been deleted or modified, Vortex will raise that warning you see.

If the problem reoccurs after reinstalling the app, then whatever made the change the first time did it again. 

This is almost always overzealous security apps deleting DLL files that are required for various features of the app, but in extreme cases, it can be malware that targets Electron (the technology Vortex is built on) and inserts malicious content into the app.

Nod32 Smart Security Premium with Windows Firewall, already the best protection, only Norton do better than this. And Nod was never have any issues with Vortex.

I am about to run Malwarebytes to check this out, because even reinstalled on different partition not helped at all. And all this crap after a simple close the program and restart the program again.

Nope. Tried scan for Malwares, try to install without Anti-Virus running and starting while it still off. Nothing. Still nothing works.

 Good day. Couldn't "deploy" collection on Vortex it says: "...i have cyclical mod rules. Rules contain cycles". How do i enable a collection without deploying? Thanks.

info: Skyrim special edition/anniversary edition on steam.

        Collection: CrikenStreamCollection.

        Vortex version: 1.9.10.

        Steps: I connected Vortex with my Nexus account, logged in on both. Downloaded the collection, in every mod i had to open the page in nexus site, steping back to the site every time opening the mod page, apparently it cycled by the collection several times, over and over again. Apparently  downloaded all the mods except one skip of Badly translated skyrim, that i skipped on purpose. Apparently installed the mods just won't deploy the collection . The collection appears as enabled in a green tab. For a time "cathedral 3d was working on the plugins list. Most of the plugins disabled on the plugins list, tried enable one by one, it doesn't sustain, when booting the game.

        Also can i take mods out or add new ones?
