Reinstall Issue

So I had to reinstall Vortex, why does not matter. The simple question I have is : Can Vortex detect previously installed mods ( as in they are still in the appropriate mod folders) and make use of them? Or is the software so crappy it can't even do that much?

BG3ModManager can do this. I know because I installed it after the vortex removal and all my mods showed up there. After a reinstall of vortex (and yes I logged in), Vortex acts like I've never installed it before and has NO games or mods Showing in the Dashboard.

It would be really nice if i didn't have to reinstall every mod.

If I can't do this somehow it is a feature I would call a MUST HAVE !

Reinstalling every dam mod for every game because I had to reinstall the mod manager (vortex in this case) is kind of a BAD design. Simply detecting the installed mods thru the games Mod folder should be the default (Like BG3MM). But I think vortex only detects installed mods IF & ONLY IF it is installed thru Vortex. Bad Design there if that is the case and a cause to use other Mod Managers like BG3MM. I prefer Vortex because of the ease of use, but.... this is a deal breaker. I'd rather go thru a slightly longer install process than have to reinstall every mod I've downloaded because of a single corrupted file. (Vortex  in this case)

Ok Vortex will be UNINSTALLED PERMANENTLY

Your POS software deleted every damn mod in my BG3 appdata. EVERY DAMN ONE even mods NOT installed thru Vortex but in the same folder. Now I am FORCED to reinstall every mod I previously had installed. This is a total s#*! Design. You all need to go back to the drawing board and insure that your software ONLY affects mods it installed and has a log that show Vortex installed it. I'm so pissed at this crap right now I'd nuke your servers if I had an EMP and knew where they were. Then you would feel my pain at your crap software design.
