Staff Solution insomnious Posted March 25, 2024 Staff Solution Posted March 25, 2024 Our digital certificate has renewed since you last installed a version and the auto-updater is just being overly careful. If you download the latest version from the site and manually install it, then all will be fine. https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/1?tab=files Any problems, give us a shout. insomnious 1 1

I downloaded it from the website and it's another install ".exe". Will using the new vortex.exe remove all my mods from the older version? How does this work?
Staff insomnious Posted March 26, 2024 Staff Posted March 26, 2024 You can install 'over the top'. Settings are saved in AppData and won't be removed. You won't want to downgrade once you've updated to 1.10 as there is ALOT that has been updated.

If I download and install the latest version from the provided link first. And then deinstall the old version, my mods and settings will still be there and will be recognized by the new version? Or do I have do deinstall the old version first and then install the new version? Or are there any additional steps I missed?
Community Manager Pickysaurus Posted March 26, 2024 Community Manager Posted March 26, 2024 You don't need to uninstall the old version, just install the new version over the top and it will replace any files that have been updated.

Expand Users seeing this message haven't opened Vortex in a very long time. It will not automatically update, you need to install the new version manually and then future updates will continue as expected.
