kamakratas
Hello, I needed to use Vortex for Gate to Sovngarde. I set up Vortex to max. Threads, restarted it and it still only downloads 1-2 Mods at a time. I'm running on 1.10.8, everything has high priority. At first I thought it was because of larger mods, but even the smaller 1-10 MB Mods are one at a time. I've found several Threads but none of them had any fixes for this Bug, so I figured I'll try myself. Can't be the ISP because Wabbajack works fine and I did 3 seperate Speedtests without Vortex running and I'm pretty close to a Gbit/s so it's not like Vortex got no bandwith to work with. I don't remember having this issue in the past, and the only difference between then and now is a faster connection and deactivated dslite adresses but neither of these things would explain the issue that Vortex keeps refusing to download more than 2 mods at a time. I'd much rather use Vortex than Wabbajack but downloading a 80GB Modlist shouldn't take all day. I am on Premium and I double checked that everything is fine. Thanks for the help. showler
I'm pretty sure that's just a limitation of how Collections work at this point. The system is still in beta and Vortex itself isn't ideally designed for Collections (hence the upcoming Nexus Mods App).
Pickysaurus
Vortex intentionally shares its available download threads between only a handful of files. If you have lots of connections open (for active downloads) it puts more strain on the servers and will slow down not only your downloads but those of other users too. Vortex generally downloads 2-3 mods at once as a maximum to make the best use of your bandwidth.
