Warnings and Site Ban Theater

I saw a user who was banned for "Using the feedback board to spout abuse." I'm surprised it wasn't because of their username. I dare not repeat it here, but feel free to scroll through that thread because I'm sure you'll see it. The first part of it is "nxs7mds7."

As I've said before, there's nothing wrong with disagreeing with the terms of something. However, if you hate it that much, just leave. There is no benefit in being a hateful, toxic dipstick.

Most egregious offense usually takes precedent. Username's bad, but can be changed and potentially a warning for it if it's felt necessary.

Example here:

Β

If you follow to their profile, you'll see their username has been changed as part of the warning.

If that's all there is to it that's fine, but in the case you mentioned, they had to mouth off too, so out they go.

The one today is particularly good because they went after Dark0ne.

Yah, I saw that one.Β  Insulting the site owner about a dead issue regarding a hateful troll mod...Β  Not sure what that was supposed to accomplish, beyond a swift smack in the butt from the ban hammer.

Fair enough. I just thought their username's subject was a bannable enough offense. Not Skull here, but the one I mentioned.

They spout their nonsense and abuse, post a link to it in some dive they usually hang around with the rest of their hateful sort, they all cheer "gottem" and laugh about it. Then when it's removed and the poster get canned for the stupidity, they all get to indulge in their unjustified rage about censorship and fascist site owners and staff.

For some reason they think taking a second or two to toss them in the trash is some massive inconvenience to us and is to be celebrated.
