JacobKirwin
Howdy all. I've been running Vortex for years with zero issue. Just logged in today after taking a few weeks off and found that Vortex wouldn't launch without adding the most recent update. I updated and now I get this error. I'm not terribly PC, but I can follow straight forward directions. Can anyone help? I tried searching online to no avail. :
showler
How old was your previous version? Some of the updates in the last year have needed newer versions of Visual C++ than comes with Windows, so you might need to update.

I've updated Vortex every time a new update drops, so not too old I imagine.
showler
None of the four suggestions in the error message or installing .NET 6.0 (not a version above 6, but specifically 6.0) had any effect?
JacobKirwin
FIXED: After continued searching on Reddit, I found the solution for my woes: Install the latest version of Vortex, let it replace current. Had to do the same thing with Steam for some reason. This fixed everything. No more error message, no more woes.
