Question for Picky, the Import from Steam Workshop extension writer. Can I Subscribe > Import > Archive Workshop Mods?

OK, I've been playing Kenshi (Really having a good time with it), I've been using the Workshop for mods, but I want to set up different profiles, because I've been discovering a lot of really good mods that I want to use, but don't want to import into my 84 hour long game.
So I want to create a profile in Vortex, and then go through the steps of Subscribing to the new Workshop Items for the new profile, so I can import those.

Will it be feasible, for me to make my DEFAULT profile, of the mods I already have installed, and import them into the Default Vortex Profile (and back up those savegmes), and then Unsubscribe to some of those mods on steam, subscribe to additional ones, and Import this into a new profile (along with some of the old ones from the old profile) in Vortex?
(Essentially using Vortex to 'store' the mods I have in my DEFAULT Mod List, while I make a new mod list with another profile)

EX:

Default Profile - 20 mods

New Profile - Out of the 20 mods from the Default Profile, I want 8 of those mods, so I unsubscribe from Steam, the other 12 mods, and subscribe to the new mods I want on Steam, then import them into Vortex, so I now have a new profile.

The question is, When I import from Steam Workshop, does Vortex just make a mod staging folder, make the mod folder for each mod, and stick the *.mod, *.info and *,img file in the Mod Folder or can it also make a 7z file, so I can just keep them on my HD for when I want to use them again? And use the "Import from FIle" option, like you can with Skyrim etc?

I'm guessing that the Steam Workshop Mods will only exists as Folders with the appropriate Files inside each folder. But what happens if I PURGE the mod? Does it store it somewhere else, or do I have to Re-subscribe and Reimport?

I guess it boils down to: I would like to be able to SUBSCRIBE > IMPORT > ARCHIVE Workshop Mods.

*EDIT* Eh....ok, just read this on the Extension Page

You also cannot reinstall the mods as no archive is created (possible improvement).

OK then, Then can I request that the Extension have the ability added to it to Make and Archive of the Mod and save it to a folder?
