I got 2 donation points for November while having 49 unique donwloads. nexusdl.thumb.jpg.4e57238b90ee409314ef5fa033c4a48e.jpgnexusdl2.thumb.jpg.faf8d09c481f6d41445a4edeebbf85a8.jpg

All my mods are opted-in and not hidden and whatever contrary to what customer service answered me. nexusopt.thumb.png.588736ada308050410543afd10831132.png

It seems it impossible for Nexus to understand the problem. Obviously your Algorythm is heavily bugged. As a side note we can also see that now unique downloads = 1 DP when before it was usually 3 or 4... That's how Nexus try reward better modders by crushing little modders and "stealing" donation point. Not only your algortyhm is not capable onfcounting all the donwloads, the unique DL value have reduce and when you report the problem you have stupid answers like you didn't opt-in. We are making your company win a lot of money by our free work, not only unique donwloads are vlauable for your company when every visists on your website make you win money with ads??? right. For one unique DL  my mod have hundreds visits. It seems you have enough money to pay peoples to make stupid answers and can't understand a problem and that my mods that make hundreds peoples visit your website with my free work have not "enough engagement"...

What is this answer seriously??? "It may be that you are not generating DP on your other mods as you are not getting enough engagement, thus showing as only one successful mod. Looking at a few of your mod stats for November, engagement was very low on all cases"

I have 6 mods more downloaded and they count for Zero.

and this: "DP calculations now consider multiple factors which we cannot discuss. Relying on just downloads as a metric is inaccurate. You have to consider what is popular as a whole as the new system is designed to reward mods which are unique and have high engagement. It was made to combat users who were spamming lots of mods in order to generate DP, taking that DP away from other users."

So my mods are not good enough to derserves their donation points??? What BS is this answer.

Not only you're not counting donation points but your answer are disrecpectful.

Hi there,

We understand your frustration, but please know that the algorithm is working as intended, and my colleague was simply trying to explain to you that Unique Downloads do not correspond to Donation Points as they may have done in the past. The old system was far too easy to abuse and that was harming mod authors earning DP more than anything else.

We cannot explain to you any more than this as we wish to keep the calculations of the algorithm hidden. We hope you understand. Please know that as time goes on, we will continuously be looking for ways to improve the algorithm to provide the best possible result for all our mod authors.

Sorry to be honest but your new system/algorythm is completely stupid, so you give even more donation points to mod that download more? (i mean you count their downloads and my downloads count for zero because of whatever you think). Or maybe you consider M&B Warband scenes are "has been"? I was "abusing the system" probably, i win 10 $ in 4 years, i guess you not realize how much time it is to make a scene in Warband. If only full conversion mods or 3D assets or coding/features mods are consider by you as mods you will crush 90% of modders. I would prefer that you give nothing instead of pretending to want to give reward more fairly. More fairly for you means to give more to big mods on popular games obviously. I also noticed since few days that my mods get donwloads but it is no more reported in the global number under profile name. I will just remove my mods and get away from this BS. If you want stop abusers you should just manually check the mods and first of all you should cap the rewards: if it's a reward nobody should win crazy amounts of money from mods but i think your system is doing the exact opposite while simply deleting the little reward other "little modders" had... Your company is totally misleading temselves but i guess we live in world like for many things it is too hard to explain very logical things even to people who get paid to think of this. You could just simply state a rule that no mod should win more than 50$ a month and no modder should win more than 500$; combining those two limitations you would discourage mod spammers/abusers.

@EttenrocalYou are wasting your time, the boss has already commented that the implementation of the new system was closed and that anyone who does not feel confidence in Nexus with this system can go elsewhere.

By the way do not compare or look at the Analytics download reports because since the last time they tweaked the download counts are not being correct, in my case the mismatch of accounts begins in the month of February that says I received 440.030 and in that month I had only 241.061, from this month the counts are completely out of control and are erroneous, also the fact that they hide the download data in the individual Stats in the mods pages (this happens to me for Dragon Ball: Sparking ZERO) is impossible to know which is the real count.

I also this month of November I have received 20% less but as I tell you I can not know if this is correct or not because I can not know if the counts are correct, but it has nothing to do with being successful in the mods, I am with all my mods in Hot Mods for the games I modify Gundam Breaker 4Infinity StrashSand LandDRAGON BALL FighterZ, etc... and the points continue to reduce each month.

Don't worry i have lot of time, i just wanted to try to bring them to reason with no much hopes indeed. I'm sure many modders will be badly and unfairly impacted far worse than me. I'll just remove my mods and put them on other mod website that doesn't pretend things and i'll get over with it and wish happy life to modders who make "high engagement mods" for whatever it means. I guess that some UI mods, graphical mods, sounds mods or adult mods that have thousand donwloads still got a lot DP because they are donwloaded a lot on popular games... But a scene in M&B Warband that take between 10 hours and 50 hours to make (sometimes more) is not a high engagement mod lol... Ironically enough the only mod that got me some donation point last month is a submod for a mod on Fallout New Vegas that took me 1 hour to make. Despite the money thing this sytem is very bad because it doesn't even let you know the real number of downloads you get just to know if your mods have some success...
