KenshiRonin
UPDATE: I installed a second Vortex on a different drive and have been able to run it with no issues so far. I was wondering if it's possible to have multiple installs of vortex on separate drives. My computer has an HDD and an SSD drive, and right now I have Vortex installed on the HDD, but I want to mod Skyrim VR on my SSD. Will installing vortex on my SSD while it's also installed on my HDD cause any issues? Edited December 26, 2024 by KenshiRonin
Pickysaurus
Vortex itself can be installed anywhere you like - it's unwise to change it from the default unless you 100% know what you're doing. The mod staging folder for the game that is important. (Settings -> Mods -> Mod Staging Folder) For most games this must be on the same HDD as the game and that hard drive has to be using an NTFS file system. So installing Voertex twice in different drives shouldn't cause any issues?

Installing Vortex just the once shouldn't cause issues with managing different games on different drives. There are very few use cases for having Vortex installed twice.
