Ok. What action do you suggest?

And therein lies the problem. Simply do to the size of this place, the folks participating in this particular thread, have all of zero power to affect any change at all. At least, nothing beyond minor tweaks to what we are being force-fed.  There might be a couple hundred (being generous) folks in here, but, nexus has over what? 30 MILLION members??? We aren't even a drop in the ocean.... Even if EVERYONE in this thread canceled their premium subscription, I doubt it would even be a blip on the balance sheet. So yeah. Robin can ignore everything we have to say, and be confident that any consequences, will be minor at best, but, most likely, not even noticeable.....

I am admin on another mod hosting site, and we aren't anywhere near this size......

that's because nexus virtually has a monopoly on modding, which puts them in this position where they're able to push a universally hated UI update no one wants and get away with it on top of the snark and rolling of eyes from members of staff that everyone isn't hyped on this terrible redesign. modding would be better off if nexus died. you would have more competition and choices in where to host/download mods and wouldn't have to go through all this again.

once they win with the UI stuff it's a race to the bottom, implementing ads an other things no one wants. it's only going to get worse from here.

There are already ads. I use an ad-blocker though, so, I don't seem 'em. (that, and I *think* "supporters" aren't supposed to be served ads as well..... nor are premium members.)

Bear in mind, Nexus wasn't always the juggernaut it is today. There was LOTS of competition at one point. Most of those sites were larger, and better funded than Nexus at the time as well. Please take note whom is still standing, after all the larger companies have faded from the scene.....

It would require 23000+ people to cancel their subscriptions before it would even start affecting the site's actual revenue.  Until then, it only eats into the $300,000+ a month they donate to mod authors.
