New UI - New home page feedback

Overall the content on the frontpage looks good. I'm not sure how useful a feed of all "latest mods" from every game mixed is – might it be reduced to just two rows? If there is going to be a main feed of mods from all games, I would prefer that they not show that preview of the description at all. Most mods don't use it to tell you anything more than what's in the title. The blue, slightly smaller font for the game on collections tiles is very helpful at a glance; apply that to mods too.

Actually, I much prefer the tiles for games and collections overall. There's obviously less information there, and I think I would prefer to have less information per tile and see more tiles. That view is more readable and useful than the mod tiles.

I'm not sure how this will look on my screen size, but if I just zoom into the preview to fill my screen, it looks like I might only see the first six games. I would prefer that the "Modding made easy" and stats section at the top be made smaller, less vertically padded. On the current homepage, I see two rows of nine games. Everything is smaller overall, which is visually nicer and more readable on a monitor.

The diamond tiles in the background at the top are nice. Otherwise I don't like the dark background; there's too much dark gray and black on this website overall. The old Skyrim art background is more interesting, and more importantly brighter. I fully support replacing Skyrim-specific artwork, but don't just go to dark gray and black gradients. Commission or create something more visually interesting and brighter for your use instead.

This is probably not worth it for you in terms of demand vs. investment but I would strongly prefer a real light mode or a less black & gray colour scheme. The old look had the benefit of per-game colours (where SSE happened to have a really pleasant blue) and those old backgrounds, while the new look is all Nexus Black & Orange, which I've never really liked.

I hope my feedback is helpful!

I really like it. I don't have any specific feedback regarding the aesthetics, although I agree with offering a couple of other dark/light/high contrast appearances, and the ability to change the orange; like lage1121 said, I also am not a fan of the orange although it's become so ubiquitous to Nexus's brand and recognizability.

Besides that, maybe the ability to hide NSFW mods on the home page only would be a good idea, although I don't know about specific use cases for that...I'm weird and just like having a "safe" home page to end up on (unless the site is, well, inherently NSFW).

I think the homepage respects your adult content settings. If that's not the case, let us know!

You really have the talent to add a bit of ugliness with every update. When I look at the new start page, I get eye cancer compared to before. Why do we suddenly need an ugly background image? The background image makes it extremely difficult to perceive the images of the individual games

I like the visual of the new home page, but however let me choose my own spacing, don't force insanely large space between each thumbnail of games on me... i could see all featured games before, now i can see only the top row & even that is so huge & in my face it gives me a headache the moment i see it... & not like headache cuz i don't like it, but actual pain kind of headache cuz it's like something is about to hit my face 24/7... it's too big, it's too spaced out, it's trying to be something it cannot be especially not on PC's (i never posted my feedback before for other overhauls of the sites ui revamp, cuz it wasn't as bad as this size & spacing wise, but the home page that you just rolled out is just uff...)

So anyway if this is really how you plan to keep it by default, at least give users an optional choice of "compact" type so we can have it similar to how it was before in size & spacing of elements on your UI across all pages & tabs, i'm not rich enough to replace my mouse monthly cuz my scroll wheel dies from extreme excessive scrolling 😕 (not to mention the headaches this is induces)

p.s this is my opinion & feedback, nothing more, if it sounds a tad aggressive it's just how i type/speak it's not meant as aggressive or anything of the sort.

Oh I really don't like this. The top 3rd of the screen is taken up by what is an advertisement for the website I'm already on, and two buttons that are already on the upper bar. Also why would I want to browse just all of the mods on the site instead of scrolling through more games. I get that updating the site for performance reasons is necessary, and just retreading the old team's work on the aesthetics side would have to boring on the developer side, but almost all of the UI changes in the last year have decreased usability and readability of the site. I don't want to be overly negative, and I do like the feature that has been added to show a preview of images uploaded by authors I'm following, but this is another bad update that is bound to put off new users that aren't addicted to this site like us crotchety old dudes.

I've given it a while, but I'm not really fond of the new UI, the update makes searching more of a pain, it's ugly, and the pages lost a lot of personality. While I predict it's not going anywhere, I really hope there will be a way to go back to the old version of the site, make it a toggle or something...
If I go the nexus page of a specific game, why would I want to see mods from other games? "Ah yes, a Skyrim weapon mod-Oh cool a mod for Stardew Valley! A game I don't own and wasn't searching for!"

You shouldn't be seeing mods from other games on the Skyrim game page. Can you share a screenshot if possible? Thanks.
