SirGalahad Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 (edited) Climates of Tamriel with Enhanced Lights and FX I've been using Enhanced Lights and FX since I started the game weeks ago. I'm very happy with what it does to interior spaces. I thought about installing Climates of Tamriel, but I'm concerned with how it may interfere with ELFX. For example, Dungeons & Caves have Normal, Hazardous, and Hardcore settings, and I must assume these overwrite anything ELFX is doing. Perhaps one needs to disable the CoT Dungeons & Caves and Interiors settings altogether to keep ELFX working? Anyone use the two together? *Ugh, this place is so dead* Long term, looking to add in I can't Believe Its Not an ENB, Dynavision, IMAGINATOR, and IMAGINATOR - MCMenu. letthehammerfall Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 I use both. I use CoT for external only and ELFX for internal. both work well this way.
letthehammerfall Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 I use both and installed this way: CoT only with external stuffELFX only with internal things so far, no problems
KaldorMintat Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 As i recall one or both of those mods have compability patches included towards each other. Been running both since i started Skyrim again a few weeks back and no problems for me (so far best to say...)
ilikecheese1337 Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 I run both. Just don't use CoT's interiors.
SirGalahad Posted February 10, 2014 Author Posted February 10, 2014 I set the Dungeons & Caves and the Interiors to Default. I must assume that is the same as not using CoT for those cells. I know that when I installed ELFX weeks ago, I installed it with the exterior options. Hopefully, that won't be a problem. If I want to change the nighttime darkness, can I simply deactivate the main CoT plugin and then reactivate it with a different night level? That is, can I leave the Dawnguard and other plugins alone? I chose level 4 brightness, but may go to 2.
myztikrice Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 (edited) 'Main CoT plugin' is an esm. Night levels are controlled by an esp. Just change out the night level esp to change night darkness. ELnFX Exteriors also only places light sources, it doesn't affect lighting outside so there are no conflicts. Edited February 10, 2014 by myztikrice
SirGalahad Posted February 11, 2014 Author Posted February 11, 2014 OK, thanks. Not sure if that's what I want to do, as I've not gotten enough play time in to judge things sufficiently. One thing, though: I'm using these two mods with I Cant Believe Its NOT An ENB, DYNAVISION, and IMAGINATOR; together, these mods mess the game map up pretty bad. Funny having these super dark dungeons and nights, then having a game map that's so bright you can no longer see details.
