I'm going to Wales in a week and I'm quite nervous about it.

Never been on a plane before, and I'm scared of the exams that I'll have to take, but like everything else this too shall pass and I will survive.

And besides I get to spend time with my boyfriend ^^

You're lucky to not going to: Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Llanfairpwllgwyngyll)
probably the first question in the tests is to correctly write down the city's name!

I hope you'll have a wonderful time with your boyfriend! :D

First thing I'll do if I ever go to GB is ask a taxi driver to drive me over to Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, provided that I actually remember how the damn thing is called and pronounced.

What's the frame-rate when it's uncapped?

61FPS minimum, 84FPS maximum, 69( :teehee:)FPS average.

Whoa, nice. No wonder you wanted a cap.

It's an advantage of having an older 1440x900 monitor, means the card pumps 1,296,000 pixels instead of 2,073,600, which in turn means it performs ~50-70% faster. :D

My computer isn't very powerful unlike some Norse gods around here...

Yeah, but unlike Thor I'm perfectly fine with 45FPS without all the fancy crap, I never cared much for the fancy stuff either.

Though I am thinking about getting my hands on a factory overclocked GTX 660 Ti, I know a guy who's upgrading and is willing to sell it cheap, it comes under the price of a Radeon 7790. That thing should be more future-proof than R7770.

By the way, I'll try that sword of yours once I find my Oblivion disc, I can't for the life of me remember where I put the damn thing. :wallbash:

Cheers!

Yeah, looking for the disc will have to wait a few hours, gotta go drive some stuff to some god forsaken place in the middle of nowhere. Damn relatives and their damn stuff.

My average fps uncapped is 120fps skyrim :D

Very nice with the fuller in place - it gives the sword a nice depth and look IMO. The fuller doesn't need to go all the way to the hilt. It can terminate on the shoulder/forte part of the blade or be tapered in depth so it starts as thick as the blade near the hilt and then becomes deeper as it goes towards the point. I would think it would look good (and likely easier to do) if it just ended just short of the guard/hilt.

Do you have an example that I can use for reference? I'm not sure I fully understand.

Eh, I'll re-read it again tomorrow. It's nearly 2am (brain not function properly), so I should go to sleep. Goodnight all.

You said, "The chappe wasn't modelled to compensate for the fuller." My suggestion is illustrated below.

The fuller in A is just set into the blade and is a uniform depth, but doesn't necessarily need to extend under the hilt/guard. In B, the fuller doesn't extend into the hilt/guard, the fuller starts as thick as the blade at the hilt end and then becomes deeper as it extends to the point of the blade. I would think A would be the easier of the two to place onto the sword. However, the way it looks in the picture you posted is very good as well. Hope this clarifies what I meant.

Ah, I get it now. I'll have a look at doing that later tonight, since my laptop isn't charging for some reason. Thanks for the suggestion though, I think that solution will work nicely.

EDIT: I found out the problem. My brother said his charger wasn't working either, so we immediately though "fuse box". Sure enough, one of the switches had flicked itself down, so we flicked it back up, got power to this section of the house again, and the chargers work once more.

So, back to editing.

Ok, so this is what I did earlier:

The fuller isn't a rounded diamond shape like in your example, and I think that may be why it looks funny to me. I'll probably have another go at it soon.

EDIT: Look further down...

Nice sword
In other news the soundblaster z has a nice headphone amp  . I had to use the 16x rail for this sound card that wasn't in use anyways, because the pci e 1x slot was taken up via the video card. Anyways it works well on the pci e x16 rail. Not many sound cards support that  , it makes it easier for anyone who ever tries upgrading to a sound card thats for sure.

Oh and 5.1 from any source is a big, big bonus. It completes my HTPC gaming setup.

Blu ray in full 5.1, no matter the source, even mp3's. You wouldn't get that with HDMI.

This has been one exceptionally long win, sigh where is everyone :D

I have gone through about 50 iterations of fullers, that's why I'm not on here. :P

This is what I've recently come to:

What do you guys reckon? Are the engravings too deep? Maybe I should give them the same depth as the hilt decorations...

It's a unique sword (based on a Morrowind unique weapon) so I kinda want to keep it that way. And I would port it to Skyrim, but I can't make it work. I've tried making weapons for Skyrim before, but they always end up glitched or cause CTDs. I could probably ask someone else to port it though. :)

That really works; the only thing I'd change would be to make the engravings on the hilt contrast more, and change the wrapping on the grip to black. Other than those tiny detail changes, you've got an excellent base weapon

As odd as it sounds the welsh language is one of the most obscure to us in england and might as well be martian, none of us bother to learn it and is an ancient language used by the locals suspectedly use it to mock non-welsh speaking tourists.
