I had fun today with lawyers...
ruining around to get what I need to get lawyer's doing stuff is fun. it is like doping the pants before the gov here. Only that gov inspects your income like a rectal public show.. So far the rectal exhibition will continue tomorrow.. and i dread it
If I'm not posting after tomorrow send in some UN forces to get me out because I charge my country with political institutionalized inter sectional discrimination and oppression then. The bitter irony, it is the same evil incarnation, why i need a lawyer in the 1st place. :wacko:

So whilst saying that x, y and z games will not be available for PC, to find out that they have been run on PCs at these expos is a kick in the teeth for those of us who want to play them on PC, but find they are console "exclusive" and this includes Sony as well as Microsoft.

 

When will these developers learn that they should release on PC as they would most probably end up with a little extra help in sales that way :D

Microsoft is just trying to make money, they release popular games as console exclusive so they can sell both the games and consoles, therefore earning more money. They can easily make it for the PC, even Xbox One will be running on a modified version of Win8 with DirectX 11, but they won't cause they are only interested in money.

 

 

 

Sony however has a bit of a problem. Most games released for PlayStation use PSGL as graphics library which is a modified version of OpenGL, while they run on CellOS which is forked from FreeBSD (UNIX). PS3 even has native support for installing Linux whose software was largely ported from FreeBSD.

 

Just porting PS games to Linux would be a pain in the ass, which is a bit of work compared to porting them to Windows which requires rewriting over 70% of the game and switching to OpenGL or worse, DirectX which requires even more work.

 

Basically, if Sony releases games for PC they would probably be UNIX/Linux exclusive due to a large amount of work, time and money needed to port them over to Windows. I believe PS4 will also run on UNIX/Linux, cause it provides backwards compatibility.

 

 

 

In any way, I know I won't be getting a console other than my SEGA Genesis 2, no matter what games get released for PS4/Xbox One.
