I do occasionally write in my spare time, and I've got a bunch of short stories I wrote purely for the fun of it, but that are for one or another reason can't be published. So I've been thinking of dumping a few in the Druid's Garden while the Druid isn't looking, and seeing how the folks that like that sort of thing like my style. The only issue is whether or not it's worth it. Not because they aren't worth reading, but because I'll need to look up the rules. Some of them are NSFW, and there's one(sadly it's the really good one) which is really really NSFW. So, who knows. Either there'll be an unpublished novella in Druid's garden with my nearly unpronounceable name on it, or maybe not. Time and moderators will tell.

And so how come they can't be published? a few are fanfics, a fanfic is something that has to stay within the boundaries of the internet because copyright does come into play once you publish something. The second reason, these are just short stories, they're purely for fun-I wrote them because I love writing, they were hammered out in a mad frenzy of inspiration, and as such they aren't worth the trouble or cost of publishing, so while they are my ideas, I don't claim them as property. The third reason, is two of them are kinda NSFW. There's a Skyrim fanfic which I would like to upload which is bloodier than a Red Cross Donation-Station during a Blood Drive. There's also a War Hammer 40,000 fanfic which is bloodier than a vampire's tea party AND contains some pretty dark gothic themes, AND a couple of sex scenes.

EDIT: NSFW = Not Safe For Work-contains naughty language, naughty bits, or midgets getting hacked to death with pitchforks

Varies. They're short by my standards, but I'm used to considering 300-400 pages "normal" length and 600-900 "long" Most are genuinely short, the one I'm thinking of posting is in essence a connected string of short stories within the same fanfic base. I don't have the time to revisit it so it's below what I would consider minimum authorial standard(one of the reasons I don't contest it as my IP)

They're essentially my first foray into writing, part of a school project. I was short on time so rather than creating a proper universe, I decided to write fanfic instead. I chose first-person because at the time I'd just finished reading Eisenhorn by Dan Abnett, which is a really superb first-person science fiction, and got hooked on the style, even if it is a little unusual. Like I said, I won't post anything until I'm clear what's OK and not OK. The uncensored version of this is pretty NSFW-it's gothic horror.
