I was having the same problems a while back, but using a different server seemed to work.

Yeah I'm actually still having problems with one or two of the servers. And sometimes even the ones that work seem to take forever to load.

Me horny, wife out with her girly friends, I'd rather cut my head off with rusty hedge clippers than listen to girl talk so I'm home. Therefore, here's some stimulus for you guys:

On top of the fact that downloading is all wonky, I keep getting 504 Gateway Time-outs.
Hope they aren't having any serious issues. I got a maintanence page once or twice.
Of course the forums are fine, so yay!

Also, hello Iv000.

Helo Kewl

I need you to give me a Skyrim trading card on Steam btw. Only you have it and I need it. I will give onto you chests of gold.

And while you do that, we could also do some communicating.

I need to PM you sometime, I was busy and I didn't do that in a while

I'll do that now.

Yes

Yeah, I don't know what else to say, the mods area of the Nexus is giving me a headache. Why does picking out mods have to be an all day affair?
I decided I wanted to make Skyrim annoyingly difficult.

Had a really fun day at work today. The fun part of being a mechanic, is that the economy of the car industry is totally reliant on scientific progress-unless the cars you're selling are at the bleeding edge of technology, you may as well go home. That means engine tech these days evolves faster than IT-an engine five years ago is obsolete today. Every so often though, someone tries something really radical, and that's what I was looking at today. The client today wanted to test a custom engine they'd made-possibly the most radical custom I've ever seen. They'd taken four two-hundred horsepower flat-four Subaru engines, and melded them into a single borderline-unrecognisable frankenstein. I have no idea what they plan to use the resulting H-16 to power, but it's going to have to be big. This is the single largest engine I've ever worked on-it took half a dozen slaves shop hands just to lift the darn thing.

So if you're wondering(and you probably aren't) how you can even meld engines together, engines have one or two "firing banks" of cylinders linked to a single shaft. If you take two identical engines, you can theoretically meld the shafts together and create a single blended whole. Because these were "flat" engines, which have a shaft in the middle and the clinders lying flat either side, they could mount two flat fours to make one flat eight. The two flat eights were kept mechanically separate, but have their shafts connected to a transfer case, which means they power the same driveshaft. It's an insane contraption but to my amazement it did run for about three minutes before expiring. If this guy keeps working on it, I can see this actually working assuming they can find a vehicle big enough to mount it in.

*EDIT: someone's actually done this before: apparently "H" engines weren't uncommon for aircraft during WWII.
