Werne
This is going to sound really stupid, but it's very annoying to me that Skyrim doesn't have a character animation for opening doors.I MEAN COME ON. CAN'T THEY AT LEAST LIKE PUT THEIR ARM OUT IN A LITTLE PUSH?!Ermm, Skyrim characters do put their arm out in a push when opening doors. :ermm:

The Dovahkiin has his/her own way of opening doors - they whisper FUS! Got my driving test in an hour. It's raining (nooooo!) and I haven't driven in the rain before... K00L
Good luck on your test! Also for anyone who hasn't heard of Starbound (or who have), the beta is being released on the 4th. If you want to see stuff about it one of the developers (well two) from another game from Chucklefish is streaming it. And the developers of Starbound are answering some interesting questions.I guess if you wanted to watch you might need a link. lol http://www.twitch.tv/Leth
Vindekarr
Got my driving test in an hour. It's raining (nooooo!) and I haven't driven in the rain before... You'll be OK, the key to safe rainey day driving is just take things a little bit easier, brake a little earlier. Other than that, the trick depends on what sort of car you're driving. Different models of car transfer their power to either the front, rear or all four wheels-this not only defines what the car drives like, but has a massive effect on how they handle the reduced grip in the rain. If you're not sure, ask the instructor-they'll know, and be able to advise. I also really recommend getting some Skidpan tuition, something that's sorely lacking from Australian Driving Schools. At some point in your career, you'll lose control of the car. It happens to everyone at some point, unfortunately in Australia the only courses that teach you how to re-assert control are the advanced ones. And that's a very bad thing. Front wheel drive cars(99% of small cars) are pretty easy to handle in the wet. Beyond just taking it a bit easier, you'll want to wash off a bit more speed for the corners, and brake a little bit earlier. FWD cars use the front tyres for braking, steering and accelerating, and given a tyre only has a certain amount of friction at any given time, you need to be a little bit more conservative than usual in the rain-because your already limited pool of traction is that much smaller. AWD cars(some Japanese and most German cars, all Subarus) have the advantage of enormous traction in any weather. Road AWD cars evolved from off-road racing cars, and are renowned for being great in the wet. These are the only cars which can just be driven normally, even in the rain-in order to send power to all four wheels, they've picked up several technological devices that I don't think I can adequately explain to a layperson, but that basically allow the car to sense when the driver is starting to lose control, and automatically adjust things to pull the car back from the edge. Lastly Rear-drive cars(most Australian cars) are the ones you have to watch out for in the wet. These cars tend to have the most power, and the least grip. Driving a RWD car in the wet, you'll need to coast through fast corners, brake a fair bit earlier and generally drive like a pensioner. Driving any RWD car takes a lot of practice, driving one in the wet can be difficult. Most racing cars are rear-drive, which is why the rain is such an issue in sports like Formula One-RWD cars are light and handle well, become very unpredictable in slippery wet conditions. billyro
I'm not entirely sure what the car I'm going to be using is in regards to that stuff. I'm borrowing a tutor's car for the test since my Dad's car is a wreck, so yeah, unfamiliar car. I was in it for my other tests though, so I reckon I have got the hang of it. I'll just go as slowly as I normally do (or maybe a little bit slower). Since the tester is very strict, there isn't really any other way, I suppose. Also, I'm not entirely sure if it is actually raining in Mossman, since that's a few kilometres away. I hope that it's drier over there than it is here. Mostly, I'm just concerned about using the windscreen wipers (I know that sounds ridiculous, but I've never used them before) so I'll just ask my tutor about that before I go in.
