If I might make a suggestion, you could have an engraved pattern in it. That way, you can have it seem more interesting without having to fidget with the shape. With a good pattern and a nice normal map, it'd probably be a decent idea.

 

Yeah, I was thinking about that. I wasn't really sure how I could go about the pattern though, so I ended up trying a simple circle and seeing how that went. It looks alright, but the whiteness stands out from a distance, so I might get rid of it.

Also, this is what I've done with the blade so far. There is something missing that I can't put my finger on... but it just looks incomplete. I think the edge and the fuller are too pronounced, but I'm unsure how I could go about fixing it.

And do you think I went overboard with the scratches?

 

The pattern for the circle could be a little more complex. As long as it's symmetrical across both axes, you can just work on one quarter of the circle and copy it to the other semihemispheres.

 

And yeah, you went a little too overboard on the scratches.

Well, a guy grabbed my ass today while I was in the store, thinking that I was a woman. So he had a bit of a shock when I turned around and he realized that "the girl" has a beard and an "I can tear you apart right now" look. Lucky for him, I wasn't even mad, and the "What the f***?" expression on the guy's face when I turned around was just too freakin' hilarious. :laugh:

 

Conclusion: Being a guy, having long hair let down and having a nice ass, makes for some amusing situations. :smile:

 

I just get insulted. :P

 

I dont care though, I love my epic mane.

I decided to go with a Celtic design. It looks a little bit flashy compared to the overly simple hilt, but it looks pretty cool so I'm happy with it.

Didn't even try it, I can't grow a proper beard. But I do look badass about a week after I shave, it's barely visible before that and it looks like pubic hair afterwards, so I keep it at that exact length with a hair clipper. :laugh:

Nope. I've still got some stubble, but I'm keeping it for now (mainly because I can't find a razor). :tongue:

 

 

I was thinking of keeping my beard but in the end I trimmed it down to ~3mm as I always have it. It becomes a bit of a bother if its too long.

Yeah, people here in Međimurje aren't really that bright.

 

The guys who insult me are the bald, punk-ish, pierced type. Or gypsies. Bartenders joke around with me being a girl often (despite the beard). Some of my classmates tell me to just shave my head too. Though I do get many compliments as well on the other hand. We're kind of very judgmental here in the north, Istra and Rijeka have proven in the votings that they're quite tolerant, so I guess you don't get as many insults as I do. Its not like they gang up on me though :P it happens just occasionally.

And I use a trimmer :P set to 3mm .

What I do need to do, is move the whole sword further up the y-axis so it doesn't clip with the hand. But yeah, it's probably my favourite creation so far. :smile:
