My goal is to be able to sleep beside my pc, and not even notice its on. The case i am getting has noise cancelling foam fro the HD and the components inside,

 

 

Its going to be a very quiet pc once its done.

The Cricket Academy beta finally downloaded after about 4 tries (it kept timing out) and I can safely say that it was worth it. This will be, without a doubt, excellent.

 

The character creator didn't disappoint, either. In most games, I usually say "eh, good enough" if the person has blond hair and looks kinda like me... but this is probably the closest I've come to recreating myself in a video game yet.

There is something about it that's wrong though; I can't put my finger on it. I pretty much look like that, but there's something that needs tweaking until it's right. Sadly I can't make him look a little bit younger (I'm 18, this looks like I'm 23 or so) but that's ok.

 

The new practice mode is really good too. The batting is actually pretty difficult (which is good, because in other cricket games you could hit 6 after 6) and it's fun when you successfully smack one, too. Also, there is a camera-mode that is called "pro camera" which is essentially a first-person camera. In a cricket game. It is freaking awesome!

The only game character I've seen that looks vaguely like me is Edward Kenway from the most recent Assassin's Creed. The jaw's more or less the same, as is the general face placement-If he had darker hair, different eyes and was about ten years younger, we'd look alarmingly similar. Same ancestry too, I'm Welsh on my father's side.

I had people come to me and ask are you inuit ??. thats how distinct i look, very native looking.

Its very hard to duplicate in a game, they tend to end up more chinese or japanese looking more then anything. :teehee:

You probably haven't heard my roommate's jet engine Xbox 360. I don't think anyone will notice my beautiful PC and its wind turbines.

Lol, yeah, Xbox 360s are notorious for being loud and annoying. My laptop is noisy when I'm playing graphic intensive games on it, but otherwise it's not too bad. I'm good at ignoring stuff, so it doesn't bother me.

 

 

Grr, Fallout NV is crashing incessantly and it's pissing me off.
