Werne's story reminds me of Guild Wars 2. When GW2 first came out, Gems, the currency used for microtranscations, could be bought cheaply for in-game money. I spent every cent I earned in-game on gems for the first couple of months. It meant I had rubbish gear, and most people thought I was either mad or very stupid, but every time I logged in the value of my investment was a little higher. I spent somewhere around 180 gold on Gems in the first few months of the game's life. When I finally sold, that 180 gold investment was worth around 17,000 gold, most of which went into further investments. The only thing I spent the money on which wasn't an investment was a hat, which cost me 49 copper.

I agree with you and not with the people that disagree with you.

The forums are down there so I can't even get back on to see whether or not people hate me. :psyduck:
