I like how third party coolers always have more features then there reference model counter parts.

I'm opting out of crossfire for a single video card setup. I think a r290 will do the trick, not to mention OC able, unlike Nvidia.

If anyone wants a 50% off coupon for Crusader Kings II on Steam, let me know. I won't be using it, but I heard the game is fun.

Alrighty... I have played Borderlands 2 for about 2 hours or so, and I like it so far. I think playing single-player will get boring pretty quickly though so yeah, if anyone wants to kill s***, just flick me a message on Steam.

Now I am having a break - my eyes are hurting for some reason (doesn't happen with other games... maybe I'm just tired?)

No, I suspect that's Borderlands. First few times I played the original... god... that would have been '06-7? I got really sore eyes as well. It's something I got used to, and seem to have built up a sort of immunity to or something.

I'm on Steam most days, and play Borderlands pretty frequently, so feel free to message me if you feel like a game-I have a lowbie Assassin that needs all the help it can get. Just bear in mind though-if I'm playing Assetto Corsa I may not get your message for a while. 'Corsa is a hardcore driving game and doesn't have either a pause, or support for the Steam overlay. Plus, in order to play it I have to disconnect my keyboard, so you'd probably get no response until I close the game or it crashes(being a beta and all)

Cool, I'll message you tonight if you're online. :)

The cricket demands my attention until then though... and there is a meat pie in the oven which needs some comfort.

I just checked your link and got this response "This item is currently out of stock and it may or may not be restocked." This is for the Sapphire Tri-X. Looks like your SOL.

But, I win, anyway.

Oh no you don't, this win is mine!

My Dad's computer died today - it has been used for over 11 years (which is amazing considering the amount of times it has been kicked in frustration) and now my brother and I have been tasked with buying a new one in Cairns tomorrow. The biggest problem will be finding a computer (probably a laptop this time) with Windows 7 instead of Windows 8. My Dad is very computer-illiterate and the new laptop won't survive long if it has Windows 8.

I'm hoping Nvidia at ces will announce maxwell already. Starts on the seventh.

OOHHHH Excitement.

Might get me a ti then as the prices drop accordingly with the 790 and 800 series cards.

Unconfrimed specs and speculation, they rumour 6gb of ram fro the 790 series which could be the upgraded ti we all been waiting for.

I think I'll be getting an Nvidia graphics card for myself after all, even though they cost an arm and a leg around here (GTX 660 costs as much as an R9 280X). I want to take advantage of KGPU CUDA protocol for Linux where the graphics processing unit is used as a co-processor (like in supercomputers), speeding up the machine's processing ability by as much as 1000%. :D

Well, either that or try and modify the KGPU source code to work with OpenCL and AMD cards.

As a side-note, women are complicated to understand. Luckily, I've been taking careful notes and I patiently observed their behavior, now I have quite a bit of knowledge about women (which saves me from some troubles). Maybe I'll release the results of my notes, once I confirm the accuracy.
