The last poster wins

I saw a sign of those who were online, and I felt like this. What? I have? No doubt that's good!

I wished the party well and my post appeared to have come from a school which aren't concerned, concerned as my home teacher was, about correct spelling.

And then...

 Curtain stage right I WIN! curtain stage left

And then the curtains close for another evening.

To announce one's return

It should be done with a flair

For those who did mourn

Do not ever despair

For those who were patient

It has been rewarded indeed

I am back, profile without a dent

I take the Win for this marvelous deed

=P Had to make something up on the fly. Hope everyone is having a good day/evening/morning/night!

How fared you while away?

Welcome!

A glimpse into the light sheds darkness from the mind.

A glimpse into the heavens darkness shares signs.

Which star did I glimpse tonight?

A glimpse into the Galaxy.

A star that was not a star stood bright.

I saw the ISS in the western quadrant of the sky tonight.

 It reminded me of those here who unknowingly care

they are not aware,

while they slumber

they mutter magical words in their sleep

because they are,

the guardians of this keep.

It's always a pleasure to see another return from a journey,

I decided to make a new sword today. I've based it off The Crecy from Albion Swords, and I'm pretty sure it's almost to exact measurements (except for the fuller - that was a guess).

And somehow, the polycount is only 1,300 - much lower than I was expecting. I think that might be because I didn't chamfer all the edges... but oh well, who needs chamfering?

Now to do the textures...

410 polygons, slightly higher than I was expecting.

And it's my birthday tomorrow... Not sure how I feel about that... Should probably be excited, but I don't think I am.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

My phone gave me a reminder that it was your birthday and I was happy that you survived another year on this planet.

I hope you survive many many more years!

Nice. That blade fuller in particular is really good.

I think most of my polys are in the pommel and blade.

So many... but at least it's smooth! And less polygons than some of Bethesda's weapons. :P

EDIT: A render with textures...

(Right-click and open it in a new tab if it gets squished down...)

I am actually so happy with how the metal came out this time. Instead of using a metal texture as a base, I just created a flat grey texture and then added details to it. I think that's what I shall do from now on! :P

Also, 3ds Max renders the normal map more... ferociously than Skyrim does, so that's why it looks rather rough.

Hey, welcome back.

How fared you while away?

Welcome!

It was a rough few years, but I got through =P How has everyone else been while I was away?

*EDIT*

Oh, I am sorry for not knowing this, but Happy Birthday, Kool! Thanks for the advice you gave me years ago =P
