I really do not understand by Bethsoft just keeps going with the 1 follower at a time limitation though. I'll bet one of the first gameplay-related mods is going to be one that increases the follower limit.

Not like it hasn't been done before in other Bethsoft games after all.

That's why the phrase is "two's company, three's a crowd". Very true in games like this, in Fallout they get in my line of fire of the scope or get in the blast radius of my grenades usually killing them. In Skyrim they can't aim straight and end up killing each other after a massive scrap

One companion is cheating as far as i'm concerned and only needed on very hard modes in the first 10 player levels.

After I played through Fallout 3 with only one, or two, or three maybe, I downloaded

Just wrote these lines for Di0nysys, for his Apotheosis mod. I had a lot of fun writing them too!

Akatosh: So, the tides of time and fate bring you here, upon my realm, where all things come to an end, and worlds begin anew. Yet you come not as an emissary, but a grim challenger, guided by something behind the veil, one who seeks ultimate destruction, and is beyond even my powers...

Player: What do you mean?

Akatosh: Silence mortal! You are but a mere puppet, though you know this not! Now, I see I must vanquish what I had once wrought, to save the very structure of the heavens! (attacks)

Akatosh: You're nothing but a puppet of darkness! Now you die! (attacks, tabbed out of conversation)

I wield a storm upon the very currents of time! (fighting Player)

No being of heaven or Nirn can hope to best me! (fighting Player)

Step into the light, foul creature! (fighting Player)

You dare defy me? (fighting Player)

None escape my foresight!

Enough games! Now darkness dies!

No... Ideas can never truly die... (bleeding out)

My time has come... (upon defeat)

Molag Bal: Another pathetic, foolish mortal! Gaze upon me, and tremble, worm, for you stand before Molag Bal the Prince of Domination!

Player: I've come to vanquish you, foul creature!

Molag Bal: Hahahaha! You have no hope of defeating me! I shall break your spine and chew upon your bones! (attacks)

Molag Bal: Now you die for daring to challenge me! (tabbed out, attacks)

Bow down before my glory! (fighting Player)

You will suffer at my hands for all eternity! (fighting Player)

Pitch and tar melt your bones! (fighting Player)

It's been so long since I've had this much fun! (fighting Player)

What! No! You cannot best Molag Bal... (bleeding out)

Usurper... (upon defeat)

Vaermina: Ah... So, you wander here, upon the edge of dreams. What could such an adorable, tasty mortal seek from me? Unless you merely came here to seek my... company.

Player: Enough games! Your dark seduction won't work on me!

Vaermina: Aww... And I was having so much fun too... Well, if that's how you want to play, then I shall gladly show you my wrath! (attacks)

Vaermina: I was getting bored with you anyway, mortal fool! (tabbed out, attacks)

I herald your worst nightmare! (fighting Player)

Show me you can overcome your darkest fear! (fighting Player)

Abyss claim you! (fighting Player)

Sleep to a melody of endless night! (fighting Player)

No... This must be a dream... (bleeding out)

My eyes are opened... (upon defeat)

Namira: It's not often I lay my eyes on one who does not cower at my approach. Tell me, mortal, what is your name?

Player: I am (player name), and I herald your downfall!

Namira: Such a shame. I thought we could have been fast friends too. Now, you shall know what it is like to stand against a goddess of decay! (attacks)

Namira: My hunger for mortal flesh will be sated! (attacks, tabbed out)

I will feast on you, mortal! (fighting Player)

Cower before me, for I bring death and decay! (fighting Player)

Feel my bitter embrace! (fighting Player)

Come! I will drown you in bile and blood! (fighting Player)

No! The wretched can never be vanquished... (bleeding out)

Finality... (upon defeat)

Malacath: You. I sense you walk a road much like myself, and bow to none, not even me. It has been too long since I've met the spells and blade of one of the spurned.

Player: Then you shall have your challenge!

Malacath: Good. Show me your fire can match mine, in combat fit to shake these ashy wastes! (attacks)

Malacath: You break the rules of engagement! Now, you will die by my hand! (tabbed out, attacks)

I have vanquished many greater than you! (fighting Player)

Those who challenge me never live to see tomorrow! (fighting Player)

Harken to a world of ash and smoke! (fighting Player)

The betrayed hold claim to your soul! (fighting Player)

Very impressive, indeed... (bleeding out)

I have been bested... (upon defeat)

Meridia: Greetings, mortal. Welcome to my realm, upon the edge of twilight, where the glow of a thousand suns cast naught but a ray of light.

Player: I've come not as an emissary, but as a grim avenger!

Meridia: I see. Well, your folly is great indeed, for I shall cast you into eternal light! (attacks)

Meridia: I sense darkness in your heart, and an otherworldly fire burns in your eyes! (attacks, tabbed out)

Heroes fall with every breath I draw! (fighting Player)

A single ray of light can banish the boundless Void! (fighting Player)

Feel the touch of darkest dawn! (fighting Player)

I bring light to the darkness! (fighting Player)

Darkness may rule the day, but twilight heralds a new dawn... (bleeding out)

So this is the will of destiny... (upon defeat)

Nocturnal: Hmm? Who are you? It's quite curious of you to venture this far into Evergloam...

Player: My name isn't important. All that matters is your defeat, at my hands!

Nocturnal: Oh. Well, I guess I can humor your request. Shall we dance? (attacks)

Nocturnal: It's rather impolite of you to turn your back on me. Guess I'll have to teach you a lesson... (attacks, tabbed out)

Shadows take you! (fighting Player)

Darkness rises, and all things crumble! (fighting Player)

I bring death from the shadows! (fighting Player)

Your luck has run dry! (fighting Player)

It seems I've been bested... (bleeding out)

I go to my rest... (upon defeat)

There you go! Good luck with your mod!

Yeah, you're right. I guess I shouldn't complain considering I've had the same gripes and problems with multiple followers. (Looking at you, Serana! No, stop attacking her! That's my housecarl who's sworn to carry my burdens, you imbecile.)

I WIN!

If you knew why I say I win, you'd be chirping like a bunch of happy birds on a sunny day.

Since I am not telling you why I WIN, you won't ever know. And madness will set in.

The Greek are the only purveyors of the cure. And they're not talking. Un...less; you can pay.

I'm just joshing you, but if you don't believe me, then you could help restore the Greek economy by spending your hard earned money, while in search of a cure, by going on a vacation to the Greek Tourist Attractions and the Great Scenic Greek Isles.

I WIN!

Hmpf. Don't even get me started on the Greek. I've already paid plenty enough tax money to make sure those bunch of lazy good-for-nothings can continue on doing what they do best: Evade taxes (a national sport there), retire early, protest (another national sport) and, most importantly; sit around doing absolutely nothing. Oh, and when they get to vote for a new government they think it's a good idea to vote for an extreme left-wing party that knows jack s#*! about economy and has made absurd promises to it's voters.

But enough about that,

I win.

My fear is they are using gamebyro engine again, modding though allowing it is a nice touch, it also has its drawbacks. Direct x 11 or 12 would be nice.

fable 2 still stands out as one of the most innovative games to this date, and it was on the 360.

I think this is the third time I've told you: they are using an updated Creation Engine. So yes, Gamebryo, essentially. Although there are DirectX 11 effects now (SSAO, sunrays, volumetric lighting, etc.) so it's a definite graphical upgrade.

Fable 2 was easily the best Fable game - I wonder why they haven't released it on PC... I would certainly play it again.

Hopefully Bethesda makes the companions less dumb, and so that they actually stand behind you when you're in combat. And I wonder how melee-based companions will work, as they'll likely run in front of your fire...

I'm thinking of combining my recent and future writings (including Aurlyn) into one single cumulative companion/ quest/ NPC mod, so I can maximize inter/ auto mod compatibility, write less rigorous dialogue choices that's the standard of standalone followers, yet still tell my epic tale with a plethora of interesting interactions and conversations, at my own pace and style. What do you guys think of this idea?

Or at least have a friendly fire option to prevent them going mental!
