Things that dont make sence FO3 version

Isn't it true that you can enlist the help from the Enclave in the very end of FO2?

Also in the end when you convince Autumm to leave, why can't you say: "Yo Autumn, we have a little problem with the purifier. You see my dad screwed up a bit and now it's going to blow, unless someone activates it. You survived this before man, just do it, you'll be a hero! Isn't that what you've sworn to do? What you've sworn to be? I mean if you walk away now, the brotherhood soldiers might just kill you. If you do it, I'll put in a good word for you, I swear. I can't force you, but think about it, FAST!"

Granted, there should be a number of Enclave enlisted that you can trust, but it would most unwise to lower your guard around their officers.

Autumn is a paranoid idiot who's drunk with power. Why do you think Eden doesn't let him install the modified FEV? If even Eden doesn't trust him, how the heck am I expected to trust him?

Ah well...

But there are more things that don't make sense. Like in Broken Steel. Don't you think it's hypocritical that the BOS employ an evil murderous maniac (my character) to battle the Enclave?

I mean my evil character really hates the Enclave and will kill a lot of them and may keep doing it for all I care. But if he's an enforcer of the BOS, then how much better are they than the Enclave??

The BoS are at war with the Enclave, so they'll obviously employ whatever means they can to secure themselves. That's what military forces do. The thing that makes the DC BoS different is that Elder Lyons is also looking out for the security of the "Locals", rather than just mindlessly scrounging for loot. I guess the game doesn't make that clear (except maybe in those holotapes you can find at the Citadel).

What I want to know, is how do people in Megaton know you're from the vault so quickly? I mean, you leave the vault, haul arse to Megaton and Moira Brown suddenly knows you're that "stray from the Vault" and Jericho (if you're good) knows that you're a 'goodie two shoes from the vault"

But if their enforcers are more dangarous murderers than the Enclave, then what is the point of that stupid war? I mean they want to make the Enclave pay for their crimes, why do they employ a very evil character who obviously commited at least the same ammount of crimes? That's what I call hypocritical!

But if their enforcers are more dangerous murderers than the Enclave, then what is the point of that stupid war? I mean they want to make the Enclave pay for their crimes, why do they employ a very evil character who obviously committed at least the same amount of crimes? That's what I call hypocritical!

The enemy of my enemy is my enemies enemy, and as long as you are fighting the Enclave then not only are you weakening the Enclave so that the Good Guys have an easier time of it, and not only are you not spreading terror to the wasteland (well, not as much as long as you're distracted by the Enclave), but it is quite possible that the Enclave might kill you when you are fighting them.

So its not so much that they are being hypocritical, its just that they are sending an 'expendable' evil wastelander out on highly dangerous missions. If either you or Enclave forces get killed then BoS wins. They are pretty sure you won't defect to the Enclave because the Enclave are all racist bastards who would kill you for being impure. And if you just bail on the mission and go commit crimes elsewhere... well, its tough but they can go on without you. They just treat you nicely to avoid having you go nuts inside their citadel.

The only reason why they don't start hiring out Raiders and Talon Company Mercs and Regulators to help fight the Enclave is because they don't want Talon Company and the others getting all the cool Power Armor and stuff that Enclave Forces have. With you... well there is only so much power armor you can carry at a time and they doubt you will be starting your own little army of raiders or something.

And speaking of Raiders... why is it the player character has to be trained, yet random raiders can kill Enclave and immediately don the armor?

No not really... he may be a murdering b@stard but Autumn is actually the moderate one who does not agree with Eden's plan for using the virus to kill just about everyone in the Capital Wasteland. I always kill him anyway.

How did the enclave get into Vault 87? I doubt the Mark 2 can handle even that many rads.

And really, the answer to clean water in the wasteland is a G.E.C.K.? The thing that the people of Vault City almost tossed because of it's uselessness.

Little Lamplight, where are all these kids coming from? Do children born in Big Town get sent back to Little Lamplight? Do they grow out of the ground? How do they maintain their ranks?

How is it possibly for all this food to be left over after 200 years? would you really want to drink 200 year ole Coke? Is it some strange Ziploc tech of da future? does it have some amazing preservatives? Does it taste so good it defies the logic of age?

tbh man, coke still being drinkable 200 years after the nuclear war isnt unrealistic. what IS unrealistic is that theres any cokes left anywhere in the wasteland. i mean, everybody in this game has apparently been living off of food from vending machines for THEIR ENTIRE LIVES.

theres no farms or infrastructure or anything like in the other FO games. where does the food come from??? theres a couple cows, but its unclear what the cows eat. and seriously, 200 years later theres food in a SUPERMARKET?

there wouldnt be food left in a supermarket FIVE years after the nuclear war, let alone HUNDREDS.

also, what exactly do Raiders do? NPC's talk as if they attack Megaton sometimes, but they never do. and they arent raiding caravans like in the other FO games, because there ARE no caravans. what do they do all day? chill, and hope a non-raider wanders into their camp?
