I never watch dooomsday video's because 99% of them are false to begin with, especially doomsday prediction vids on the tubes, can't take them seriously really.

Humanity is doing better than ever. Our Life expectancy grows, meat is cheap, we have all this technology that allows us to communicate and play skyrim around the world. And every damn time people think things get worse when they actualy getting better. Whats your point crying about this? Literaly, crying like a baby. What have you done today? I gave micro credits a few years ago to africa. Do the same. Support a carpenter or a tailer or a chicken farmer with a few hundret bucks.

As for "everyone should know what a fake this whole internet activism is ' well it helped bring down a 30+ year dictator in Egypt , it is credited with stopping the expulsion of the Chiapas from their ancestral land in Southern Mexico , in fact in an age where so many things are controlled by the powerful elites of the world , it is proving to be the most efficient means for the common person to inform and effect change. (or at least try) . Its strange you should be faulting internet activism when one of the things you mention actually engages in internet activism to promote their cause.

The facebook kids got thrown out by the Brotherhood at day two on the square. Better inform yourself about what realy happend before you make such an inacurate Statement. When you bring down a dictatorship you need Thugs, Arms, Organization and not some useless Facebook Friends who can't land a punch. Hes right about badmouthing internet activism because its a huge waste of time. No one is helped by reading blogposts repeating some occupy slogans, thinking they are alternative because they are on the internet. Government has more problems with low-tech off the grid opposition and their ways of communicating than with Facebook and Twitter.

 

I have just one questions for people who think Internet Activism can achief anything: How ?

Its even dangerous to let people think when they just twitter each other to go somewhere, protest, be loud and make demands things change for the better.

Well it isn't so much about feelings as it is about following the rules of this site and having some politeness while conversing. Your last post was insulting in a debates section where you didn't need to be. You can be direct and forceful without resorting to this kind of thing.

Humanity is indeed doomed. We are NOT doing 'great', in fact, I wouldn't even say were are doing "fair", more like "poorly". There is not plenty of anything for a significant percentage of the world. Some folks do well, but, most are not even scraping by. I suppose it all depends on what your yardstick looks like.... But, from my point of view, humanity is going down the toilet, and we are on the last swirls before finally going down the tubes.

 

Surviving a nuclear war? *snicker*, a lot of that depends on the scale of war. Number of weapons involved, and who all is shooting them off. Now, if we get into a WWIII scenario, where everyone fires off everything they have, the human race is highly unlikely to survive more than a decade thereafter. There will be nowhere on earth that won't be affected by higher radiation from fallout, stripping of the ozone layer will also increase radiation levels, once the sun can get thru the layers of dust kicked up by megatons worth of bombs..., food production will be pretty much halted, as 99% of arable land will now be radioactive.... Surface water will be undrinkable... and technology will have taken a step a six backward. No more electricity, no mass transportation of anything, the ONLY resources you will have are those that are within walking distance. And there will probably be competition for those resources as well.... so, after millions, probably billions die in the intial war, the secondary kill will be the death knell of the human race.

People seem to think that greed is only for money, but the worst greed is that for power. and this is very very correct and as my grandfather said to his boss "you think only of your money and not of your family you think about profit before safety of your workers so when your wife leaves you and when you have no business and are drinking yourself to death i can happily say i will still have my life" and my grandfather was right his bosses wife did leave him and his greed for money got him sent to jail and after he died all that money was given to his ex wife and when she died it was donated to charity proving that greed dosent win

I think you've missed my point. The greed for money is far less destructive than the greed for power. Gaining all the money in the world will not gain you anyone committed to anything other than getting paid.

 

Greed for power means power over others and that has always taken the same road and many politicians have traveled that road many, many times. All you need to do is create a wedge between those you wish to indoctronate and those you wish to denigrate. That wedge can be wages, race, religion, culture or any one of several other differences that one could point out to simulate a rift in humanity. You need to associate yourself with those you want and denigrate those outside this group. You create a victim status for your listeners and submit yourself as the answer to this and hopefully you will touch some of those listeners. Those who listen the most become idealist and fanatics that will do anything and everything they can to promote their own version of utopia. These are the people who blow up buildings and kill indiscriminately. One of these idealists went by the name of timothy mcveigh

The idea behind this is clear, no matter what you think of Democrats or Republican. It is the fact that an entity would take advantage of someones misery to do something that they would seemingly not be able to do under normal circumstances. Both Democrats and Republicans have done this. The most resent was The Iraq War for the Republicans and the financial meltdown for The Democrats. Rahm Emanuel was just more honest about it.

 

Let me say this directly. It is not a hit pieces on any political party. That would be a derailment attempt which I'm not doing here. I wanted to show real time examples of what I was talking about to make myself clear.
