Dark0ne
Yes, please send a cheque payable to "Robin" to the amount of £1000. Your mods will then work. Alternatively let us know what problems you are having and we'll help you. Are you getting errors? Are the downloads failing? Do you not know how to unzip stuff? What's wrong!? TheOutlander
Yeah...and like yesterday...that went over like a fly in the ointment...Just tell me the steps to download mods for Fallout3 and Oblivion and quit "jerking" me around! I'm sure my comp isn't that different than yours as I said...I have Vista with the service pack 1 and 2...Everything else I have is compatable...1. Find the mod you wish to download on: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/ or http://www.tesnexus.com/ (use the search or look through "Browse Categories". 2a. On the file page of the mod you wish to download (example: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10380 ) click Files then click the file you want's name. This will open a new window and shortly after a bar should appear from above which you click and have the download go to your desktop. 2b. Certain files will not give you this bar immediately though like for example the one from here: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10365First you will need to click one of the normal servers which will then give you the bar (if it doesn't there may be an error or that server is undergoing maintence or something - thus you'll have to try later). 3. Once you have the file downloaded you'll need to extract the contents using an application like 7zip ( http://www.7-zip.org/ ). 4. When that is done you will need to follow the instructions on how to install a mod: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/articles/article.php?id=
buddah
Actually you have been quite evasive and have not given anyone any information to help you out, so here is a start....vista has inherent problems with both fallout3 and oblivion. It is recommended that you not use the default installation path on vista: ----------------------------------------------------------------------Mods on Windows Vista Installing mods on a Windows Vista system is bit trickier than it is on Windows XP due to Vista's increased security. For best results, it is recommended to install Oblivion to a location other than the default C:\Program Files\ folder. Another location such as C:\Oblivion\ or D:\games\Oblivion\ will work better. This will avoid the file permission problems many users have experienced due to the increased security restrictions Vista places on the Program Files folder.--------------------------------------------------------------------- There are quite a few guides to help you. http://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=262 This thread also has information on using vista and mods: http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=120735
nosisab
The most informative 'information' until now (since the former thread) was he stated he actually downloaded the mods... yet there is no clue about he tried to install them at all, just copied the packed files or anything else... maybe he just download... who knows? Edit: actually I'm even uncertain if he did it.
Gavelayde
Thnx everyone!I have downloaded the files. I think the problem is that both games are in program files... I thought that I moved both of them but there they are in program files again. I think my computer hates me. Let me try to get them out of there again and I will get back to u.
