Nadin
A few years ago there was a t.v. show by Joss Whedon called firefly. It was the most singularly epic show on television at the time. Nothing else even came close to it's awesomeness. Fox canceled it.[sob] It never even reached a second season! [/sob] Now there is a second show by the same creator. It's called dollhouse. The plot is even more epic than firefly (somehow the universe didn't implode) and the acting is incredible. It is easily one of if not THE best thing on T.V. right now.So, what does fox do? They let it run into the second season and then cancel it. DAMN YOU FOX, WHY DO YOU DO THIS? WHY?????? ( I would appreciate discussions about why, but this was really just me letting off steam. Also, if there was a rant thread I couldn't find it so please just move this there.)
Retribution
Maybe they hate Summer Glau. I don't, she's one of my favorite actresses.
evilneko
Whedon hates Fox. True story.
Dark0ne
Firefly was OK, but it was never as awesome as everyone made it out to be. Just like Farscape. The only sci-fi series that's come close to being worth watching since Stargate seasons 1 - 6 was Battlestar Galactica, which was great until the second half of season 4 where it tailed off into obsucurity. Birrii
I don't know if those shows were popular (I mean like REALLY popular, not just popular amongst Nexus-members), but if it wasn't, then the reason is obvious:It didn't make enough money for Fox.(No offence!!!) Skotte
Fox eh, maybe Joss Whedon can't make a show dumb enough for Fox. How long has the Simpsons been on? to clarify, I'm not saying "the Simpsons" is bad just don't need to think as much as a "Joss Whedon" show
