martinthemage
How do you purchase games? Do you use Steam, Direct2Drive, or the 'classic superstore purchase'? Or maybe you buy games online some other way. Which one do you choose?
ub3rman123
eBay FTW! Especially when I found that original Playstations sell for less than the Playstation games they run.
Retribution
Anyone who uses Steam/Direct2Drive unless they have to is stupid. Strike #1 for flamebaiting. You should know better. Edited June 22, 2010 by Vagrant0
spets21
DVD baby always  if something goes terribly wrong in your system it's always better to have the hard copy on your hand instead of installing through a download server , like you installed an incompatible mod from your game and screws up your game saves you can just do a quick reinstall easily or do a quick fix for some missing file ect. DVD's are more portable to, you can bring them with you anywhere, but with gaming platforms, systems that don't have the platform need to have it installed and then download the game again. Also, the disc's are better for users with limits on there download usage.
ub3rman123
'Course, the last two games I bought off eBay didn't work at all, so I guess buying it from a physical store helps.
CommanderCrazy
DVD of course. Steam is sloooooooooow.D2D is screwed up.Ebay is mostly unreliable. (I only buy if I can pick it up myself. Can return it easily too.)
Illiad86
I use Steam mostly these days...but I normally go and buy them on Newegg...no sales tax ftw! Same thing on Steam too atleast...hate paying that extra $5-6 just to get it right there and then....rather wait the 4 hours or the 3 days  Back when I was a console gamer Ebay, garage sales, and flea markets were the best. Sheesh, I got Final Fantasy VII for $20 at a flea market sealed in it's package when it was still $60 at the stores
LHammonds
I buy the CD/DVD, make a backup of the media and run the game/app from the backup and tuck the original away in the box...safely out of the hands of my destructicons (commonly known as children) :teehee: LHammonds
Dark0ne
Whatever gets me the game quicker, which is normally Steam. Buy the game, download it within about an hour on my 50mbit connection, burn it to DVD while I'm playing for prosperity and I'm done. Also has the bonus of not having to worry about forgetting the DVD when I go away on my laptop or go to a LAN. Just download the game again. Simple.
