Tourists came to see the wondrous plastic folk, excluded only from the areas such as the UNPSIA Base and those areas normally restricted in any city along with the Rainbowbaby's Palace. The plastic creatures were friendly with most outsiders but when infiltrators came, biozay and normal humans, they were quickly captured and handed over to the UNPSIA. There were many thousands of superbugs and the first supernoid squat humanoids began to appear. The group moved through a vast chamber of metallic stone, as did crowds of amazed visitors. Beer-maids bustled around carrying trays of food and drink. Overhead flew smallish dragons, about three metres long, along with different types of birds and other winged creatures. Some wheeled robots hummed past and then some blue coloured plastic police officers. Walter spoke to Scully. "As a forensic doctor, have you studied samples of the plastic flesh?" She nodded. "It is silicon based quasilife, not life as we know it. Captain Armstrong spoke of the plasticants as being based on quasilife naturally found in many parts of the Multiverse including in the Mirror Multiverse. Quasilife is not influenced by the balances of life, death, unlife and undeath. You would gain much more from studying it than I would, you super genius." Walter sighed right back. "Perhaps I am by human standards but when I studied samples of quasilife and even some quasilifeforms, I realised that it will take a great deal to understand such matters. I suspect that it was more than Tomitom, and Anditom, who brought forth these amazing plastic-flesh entities but some other influence also for these quasilifeforms can not be turned to undeath, unlifen or killed the way we can. Nor can they be hosted by the parasites, be they more friendly bioyie or less friendly biozay." Astrid came up to walk beside Walter. "There is a plasticant rock and roll band playing some of your favourite songs, just for you, Walter. I heard what you last said. I agree that the quasilife could have been brought here to deal with such threats." Edited February 22, 2015 by Maharg67
Maharg67
One 54.2[89]{89} Walter Bishop grinned happily at the idea of a plasticant rock and roll band. "Next the band but here comes Jack looking as if he has something important to say." Jack hurried past Mulder, Peter, Olivia and Dogget but beckoned them to follow him. They did so with looks of curiosity. Then Jack was facing them all with an expression of concern on his face. "A large army is coming from north-down, approaching up along the Grand Pale Tunnelways. The only information we have gained is from highly agitated superbugs who fled from the advancing army. The advancing army appears to be made up of insect like creatures and what might be altered humans." Walter sighed. "Selenites! Insectoids of a hive mentality, sharing an actual secondary mind, with many castes and subcastes! None were sure if the story, of the so called mad Englishman, was true but apparently it was. In the late 19th Century he, and five others, supposedly went to the Moon in an antigravity globe shaped craft. It crash landed and the humans found and entrance into the Lunar Labyrinth. They also encountered an exploration party of selenites. Miscommunications led to violence and only two humans lived through it but only one survived the journey back to England. When the Lunar Labyrinth was discovered the deceased man's journals were much copied and heavily studied. There are still many puzzling aspects to the story such as the nature of the antigravity globe ship and how it was invented." It was not good news but clearly Walter was fascinated and wished to learn more. A bare breasted plastic-flesh Island maiden made her way past, dancing as she did so with swaying hips. She was followed by a posse of very young men with gawking expressions on their faces. Scully frowned, Mulder grinned and Walter laughed softly while Astrid just sighed. *************************************************************************************************** http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/tt9/Dragonpen61/Forum%20Additives/441px-Da_Vinci_Vitruve_Luc_Viatour-1-1.jpg One 54a "Humans are not what they think they are! The rise of Unity is really the change from an unaware, dysfunctional Unity to an aware, functional, one." Graham Maharg spoke to the large audience of people in the large, advanced, lecture theatre. Behind him flashed holographic images of human biology, history, and other facets. "Thus were the words of Harriet H Harrington, a genius who some considered one of the most amazing minds in history and others considered to be quite insane." The faces, in the audience, seemed to reflect those very sentiments though many were clearly of mixed feelings also; Graham Maharg found it easy to pick up accurate impressions of people. His being far more, and less, than human assisted in this regard. He went on speaking, his voice carried by a very sophisticated network-system to all in the theatre. The lecture, if it could be called that, was being broadcast live and via delayed broadcast. While it was taking place in LabyrinthCity, it was going directly to many places and many more by delayed delivery. This was of the practical problems of being in a vast underground realm and being a distance from the home world despite the advent of new technologies. "Harriet H Harrington was a woman who greatly influenced many scientific fields in a positive manner, who was linked to a wide variety of inventions and improvements in older technologies, who had a profound reforming effect politically, socially and economically. While many saw her as a hero, she was to become an enemy of an alliance of forces that would later become the Big13." He sighed. "Then she vanished totally, instantly, with out explanation. You have watched your 3Dvideo briefings, and read your pre-lecture booklets, I hope. Good! Now let us focus on the first public appearance of this amazing woman." Ships travelled to and from Jungletropolis, to a coastal Waygate, to travel to the Lunar Labyrinth and back. For now no more undead armies threatened the great metropolis. Bigtropolis expanded inside the Lunar Labyrinth and refugees flooded into it so that quickly it became the most heavily populated place in the Known Lunar Labyrinth. Bigtropolis also evolved. Earthtropolis first arose in Europe and began to expand across the continental area. Outgrowths soon appeared in Great Britain and the Arctic Circle then Australia, North America and Africa. It was both expanding and evolving. Spacetropolis appeared in L5 orbit where it had unnatural orbital stability. It also began to expand and to evolve. *************************************************************************************************** http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/tt9/Dragonpen61/Forum%20Additives/441px-Da_Vinci_Vitruve_Luc_Viatour-1-1.jpg One 55a It was a battle largely between quickly assembled, space going vessels, that could not operate in the atmosphere of Terra (Earth). A single Havenlander skyship assisted a smaller fleet of UNG Federation frame-ships (designed to remain in zero gravity space), smaller frame-shuttles (designed to land on the Lunar Surface), attack-ships, newer type fighterships (oversized fighters designed for the great expanse of space plus atmosphere) space-fighters and a dozen vessels of unique nature. In contrast the UWG Confederation had fewer hastily put together machines and odd looking saucer shaped vessels that seemed influenced by the shape of Greynari saucerboats. They had a cruder form of antigravities and were slower with out other Greynari tricks. There were also three types of fighterships plus odd looking space-fighters. In zero gravity vacuum vessels zigzagged, not needing to move as if in atmosphere or gravity, while energy weapons fired off. More often shells, rocket, missiles and drones were sent against other vessels, the common weapon being autocannons from smallest 20mm calibre right up to hulking 300mm autocannons. Spacetropolis was close as the UWG Confederation tried to get to it with a small fleet of carrier, escort and other vessels. It was clear, to the UNG Federation, that they wished to colonise at least part of Spacetropolis. It came as a shock, to the UNWF Forces when information arrived that the enemy operation had been a diversion and that a larger enemy force had successfully reached Spacetropolis. The enemy must have also gained the news for their false colonisation vessels suddenly exposed weaponry and began to fire away at the Federans. Even as they did so the Confederans began a carefully preplanned retreat towards Terra. Edited May 14, 2015 by Maharg67
Maharg67
http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/tt9/Dragonpen61/Forum%20Additives/441px-Da_Vinci_Vitruve_Luc_Viatour-1-1.jpg One 56.1[91]{91} Captain Armstrong spoke. "The mysterious army, approaching the Known Lunar Labyrinth, has halted at a large lake area. A large number of insectoids are there along with exotic insect like creatures of larger size, what might be called living machines and altered humans often riding altered horses. The Rainbowman has informed us that the insectoids are zelenites, a special selenite warrior caste, along with selenite specialists of other kinds. The humans, and horses, are linked to the hive mentality through insectoid implants that have exposed surface features. They are known as selekins as are other Terran lifeforms that have been assimilated by the selenites." Captain Armstrong went on speaking. "The selenite army has halted to consume water, to refill tanks and to also consume certain kinds of fast growing water plants at the shorelines of the lake. The Rainbowman has put doubt on the idea that the selenites are automatically sending a force against us. They may not even know that we are here. As for the humans, we have no idea where they came from, how their ancestors to to be inside the LL. Selenite adaptations, and exoskeleton armour, disguise their general human features but they use some technologies of an older Terran kind such as bolt-action rifles, knives and binoculars." They were in the new command chamber, of the UNPSIA, and an important meeting was being held to go over recent developments. Armstrong had already mentioned that the guerrilla fighters, attacking the UNLLG, had withdrawn from fighting. Perhaps they had retreated to one of the three small LL Colonies ruled by the United World Government. That was good, in more than one way, for the large UNG colony. Marshal Collins cautioned against making assumptions that the guerrilla fighters were withdrawing because of the selenites. The LL Guard were recruiting rejuvenated humans, many being retired or wounded veterans, to build up their conventional, and special, forces; this was to deal with future guerrilla combat and possibly the selenites and other bigger scale threats. The LL Guardia would be supplemented, in the longer term, by a bigger defence force but it had been easier to expand the Guardia in the short term. There was not much more to add for the moment. UNMSIA, and UNPSIA, forces would assist the Guardia as would supersoldiers. Fortifications were already being constructed at the approaches of the selenites, including two new bases. *************************************************************************************************** http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/tt9/Dragonpen61/Forum%20Additives/441px-Da_Vinci_Vitruve_Luc_Viatour-1-1.jpg One 56a The ancient metallic stone obelisks were found to exist along the 3D boundaries of the Known Lunar Labyrinth. Superspecs (super specialists), superworkers and supersoldiers moved in teams, transported by deadly stealth hubcopters or other machines. With them went three clone-children of Graham Maharg and a handful of RainbowOnes, exotic minions of the Rainbowguardian. The Rainbowboy was there also along with three AraGuardians and some AraGuards. All of the power, the forms of protection, the knowledge, the skills and experience were cautionary for the AraAncients did not know how, why, the obelisks had come to be there; this was despite that they had created the the first of them, the Grand AraArtefacts, and many others after those. To the AraGuardians it caused further concern that some kind of treachery was at play amongst their people but not amongst those that had ascended and chose to return. The problem with this idea was that, in theory, all AraAncients had ascended with a small minority returning to the mortal realms to serve in different ways. The AraGuardians were unable to fully access the AraObelisks, as they were soon being called. They were able to note that there were no species memories, no data records, speaking of such as existing before; but then again much had been lost to the AraAncients during the War of Horrors so they could have existed once as defensive security boundary enforcers. The AraGuardians were able to detect, to measure, that the AraObelisks were emanating subtle energies, influences, that seemingly influences humanity to remain inside the KLL while influencing others to remain outside of it; yet no reliable confirmation of this was made. There turned out to be thousands of the devices and yet their long term purpose had yet to be found. Edited May 14, 2015 by Maharg67
Maharg67
http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/tt9/Dragonpen61/Forum%20Additives/441px-Da_Vinci_Vitruve_Luc_Viatour-1-1.jpg One 57.1[92]{92} Central Paris, France, shuddered softly as artillery salvoes struck at it from the west. High explosive shells hurled big explosions high into the air. The Eiffel Tower was damaged and part of its frame was smashed. UN Peacekeepers were pushing forward as exopower armoured infantry and armoured fighting machines. Armoured-armed hubcopters darted through the air as did subsonic, and supersonic, jumpjets. The enemy had come as a surprise with new technologies of energy cannons, battlemechas, upgraded cyborgs and worst of all dead human things that were soon being called corpse-cyborgs or corpseborgs. Mostly the enemy were corporate mercenaries, at least half of them being infested with biozay creatures. In the smoke, laid down by enemy shells, the corpseborgs had protection from the sunlight. They shambled quickly forward shooting basic guns and slashing, bashing, with basic hand-weapons. They were captured humans, mostly civilian adults, sent through a gruesome process to turn them into terrible cannon fodder. Any real intelligence came from their basic cybernetic network-systems of hardware, software, firmware and wetware. Through the troubled city, mostly abandoned by its people, moved quietly the Shadowman. He was not happy, not at all, for an agreement had been broken and he had been tricked. He was used to being the one that tricked others. Yes, he had helped the PanAxis to escape from Terra to the Lunar Labyrinth in exchange for promises made but those promises had not been kept. Following a trail of psychic-spiritual nature, he meant to have his revenge. He was not even sure what sort of entity he was following except that it was clear that it was powerful and exotic. The shadowy figure turned up a side street, complete with newly collapsed buildings, and threaded towards an unusual looking neogothic building complete with a bell tower, gargoyles, small flying-buttresses and semi-enclosed balconies. Yet, even as he got closer, the great structure faded away and his mind was filled with jeering, sharp, laughter that infuriated him. He was being toyed with but he was the Shadowman and he would not allow that situation to continue. *************************************************************************************************** http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/tt9/Dragonpen61/Forum%20Additives/441px-Da_Vinci_Vitruve_Luc_Viatour-1-1.jpg One 57a AlphaOmega was now firmly in control of the Council13 and, through that and other means, the Big13. AlphaOmega was 'one that was 13' following the important way of 13 being one prime, three secondaries and nine basics. AlphaOmega had started a purge to clean up the Big13 and to put the 'grand program' back on course. Secretly, AlphaOmega considered the whole 'program' to be quite insane but he was bound, by chains he could not break, to the secret control of the Lords13. The vast majority of people did not even know they existed and the great majority of them did not know that they existed. AlphaOmega hated the Lords13 but very very long ago he had done something very foolish that had trapped him in their control. The prime AlphaOmega materialised in an ancient metallic stone chamber where AraArtefacts were melded into great walls along with massive statues of AraAncients and other entities. There one of the Lords13 stood as a shimmering humanoid shape, totally disguised, but AlphaOmega had managed to learn something of these traitors; for they were AraAncients or at least linked with such. He had met AraAncients and these Lords13 did not 'feel' like them in that they seemed to be twisted versions of AraAncients. The entity spoke with icy cold brutal arrogance. "AlphaOmega, you have done well but we have new orders for you. We expect you to continue to do well. A reward will come to you soon, as will a detailed briefing of the new orders. We are deciding what form of new resources to send to you. We wish to make sure that the future bound Confederation gains a strong bridgehead inside Spacetropolis." AlphaOmega spoke. "One of my secondary aspects is there, in Spacetropolis, helping to construct a colony but we have begun to detect troublesome signs of dangerous lifeforms. These appear..." The other entity cut off AlphaOmega. "You will deal with such threats! We will send you more resources to do so." The Lords13 had a bad habit of making promises they could not, would not, keep so AlphaOmega became quiet; he would only believe in the promise if, and when, resources did arrive at Spacetropolis at the UWG Confederation bridgehead colony there. He was glad when the meeting was over, as he always was with such events. Edited May 14, 2015 by Maharg67
Maharg67
http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/tt9/Dragonpen61/Forum%20Additives/441px-Da_Vinci_Vitruve_Luc_Viatour-1-1.jpg One 58.1[93]{93} Marshal Collins studied the older man, rejuvenated youthful, on the 3Dscreen and simply shook his head. "Marshal Cilefield, your ranking in the LL Guardia does in no way give you any authority over the UNPSIA and your demand that plasticant soldiers be given over to your command, to be used as expendable cannon fodder, is ludicrous. Even if the UNPSIA would begin to consider such an idea valid, which it never will, we have no way of getting the plasticants to go along with such stupidity." The other marshal scowled with aggressive arrogance. "I will go to UNPSIA Supreme Command, I will go over your head." Collins smiled. "Please go ahead! The UNPSIA High Command, on the home world, has been cut off in Geneva that is under siege by UWG forces. Last orders out were for me to take supreme command until, hopefully, the city is relieved by UNG forces staging a major counter attack." Europe, Africa, the Americas, South East Asia and other zones were at war. Many refugees were flooding through the Waygates to the Known Labyrinth while others were rushing to the protection of UN Enclaves. Most were finding sanctuary in the expanding Earthtropolis. The UWG had turned out to care little for most of its people and the brutality of its military forces was infamous, even against its own citizenry. Many of its own people had been killed in order to create more corpseborgs. The result was that many of the peoples, of the UWG, had turned against it; this included military forces. Collins cut the communications link when a light blinked green and there was a buzzing sound. They had tracked down where the false voice, and image, of the real Marshal Cilefield had come from. Collins considered Cilefield to be a fool but not stupid enough to make such a demand. Question was why was such a false demand being made? What faction wanted to gain access to plasticants and why did they? Problem was that there were a few answers that could make sense for there would be many wanting to research develop plastic androids, failing to see them as having value as a people. The false audio visuals had come from LabyrinthCity through the newly expanded, refined, fibre-optic networks of the Known Lunar Labyrinth. Trouble was that they had come from a hidden computer that had no internal clues to who, or what, had put it there. Except that something small had been concealed under the computer, being a small card with the PanAxis symbol printed on it. *************************************************************************************************** http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/tt9/Dragonpen61/Forum%20Additives/441px-Da_Vinci_Vitruve_Luc_Viatour-1-1.jpg One 58a What were they, those humans that acted so differently from the norm? They had been so when they arrived through Waygates, from more orthodox vessels. They had congregated together at a fairly isolated area, in the Known Lunar Labyrinth, to build what seemed at first to be a standard kind of settlement. Soon those humans began to change and reports got to regional, and central, authorities of bizarre cannibalistic raids on neighbours, of berserker rage driving those raiders, of people vanishing or surviving ambushes of distorted humans. Before more orthodox forces could even be prepared, supersoldiers struck the settlement. Fast, agile, deadly and quiet they knocked down the monstrous deformed Unity and had only to kill some. They rescued would be food victims from cages, where they had been going through a process of being fattened up for feasting on. Recordings were made, captive malforms were placed in secured status capsules, portable ones, and former captives were tended to. The horror stories of those people included watching other humans being butchered, including friends and family members, and being forced to eat cooked meat from those very people. There were other horrors, too many of them. A monster had been there, a hulking humanoid that was vaguely human, with a horrible 'feel' about him. In blood red metallic robes, mask and boots, the dull blood red skinned creature had terrified the captives and had even frightened the twisted cannibals. It killed some, of those cannibals, at its first appearance to establish its authority over all of them. Then it controlled them, making them carry out certain tasks for it in exchange for some special rewards. There was more to be learned and a specialist team was sent to the settlement of cannibals. Maharg67
http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/tt9/Dragonpen61/Forum%20Additives/441px-Da_Vinci_Vitruve_Luc_Viatour-1-1.jpg One 59.1[94]{94} Geneva was no longer under siege but the city was a broken, burned, version of its old self. A massive enemy battlemecha had collapsed onto the graceful United Nations Government Parliament building, crushing part of it, but the big emergency meeting chamber was part of a heavily fortified bunker; it had survived with out any damage. Political leaders, ambassadors, advisers, consultants, others were busy in the big chamber but most were at the great ring of desks and chairs as part of the meeting. The US President was there, with her entourage. The USA had regained its old territories when those people had turned against the UWG and rejoined the union out of necessity. The new nation had soon proven to be totally corrupt, autocratic and strange. She spoke of the growing discoveries that the UWG was the result of a very old conspiracy centred on a dark alliance of the Cult Conspiracy and their shadowy allies. Another surprise was that the war was not about victory over the home world but about a grand scale looting of resources and a well planned exodus, through secret Waygates, to an unknown destination. There was also a strong link between the UWG and the PanAxis of World War Two. The PanAxis had arisen first in the great nation of Germany, in the infamous region known as the mountainous Cauldasa where people had many differences from the rest of Germany. It had turned out that they had taken over Germany through a mixture of cunning, brutality and other means. The rest of Germany had turned against them about half way through the war but by then the PanAxis had gained new, horror, resources including military forces from the Zaztek Empire. They also occupied much of Germany even after the rebellion. The fighting only ended in a decimated Europe when the PanAxis escaped in a fleet of rocketships. Could the PanAxis been another grand looting, and escape, exercise? Was it closely linked to the rise, and fall, of the UWG? If so what was the real, long term, goal of the possible conspiracy? Even as the US President spoke, Earthtropolis was starting to absorb Geneva. **************************************************************************************************** http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/tt9/Dragonpen61/Forum%20Additives/441px-Da_Vinci_Vitruve_Luc_Viatour-1-1.jpg One 59a There had been a series of 'distortion outbreaks' amongst the population of the Known Lunar Labyrinth, the vast majority being newcomers gravitating towards one another. Far from all were as lethal as cannibal humans, that had popped up in over a dozen locations, or others even more dangerous. Gilled amphibious humans, mammal tailed aquatic merhumans, arose and then winged, angular, version along with others; these were soon becoming part of the socio economic structure of the Known Lunar Labyrinth. They were to remain as minorities. Unity continued to grow, to expand, to evolve across the Known Lunar Labyrinth and, less intensely so, in other places with three largely unknown exceptions. AntiUnity, ProUnity, and other extremes also arose as pushed by, and counter to, general Unity. This was an older pattern becoming more intensive, focused. The United Nations Lunar Government, with the assistance of many other factions, began a wide sweep of the Known Lunar Labyrinth to get a strong idea of what was going on and to deal with it; this was not just to do with the distortions, the outbreaks, and other exotic incidents but with more standard issues. This included attempts to create dangerous, secretive, colonies based on dark cults or other beliefs. It also included settlers who had become lost, isolated, over decades by accident. Maharg67
http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/tt9/Dragonpen61/Forum%20Additives/441px-Da_Vinci_Vitruve_Luc_Viatour-1-1.jpg One 60.1[95]{95} It turned out that the war, on the home world, had been less destructive than feared because many UWG areas had quickly turned against the United World Government. Yet the UWG had managed to do a great deal of looting. Causing death, destruction, displacement, disruption and despair seemed to have been side issues for them and world conquest a false goal, an illusion. UWG forces vanished with amazing efficiency and speed, along with the Big13 and other elements. While this happened, armies of corpseborgs were sent to attack UNG forces to block them from interfering. The corpseborgs fought with weapons but also exploded as moving high explosive bombs. They did much damage but were soon being destroyed before they could do any at all. The Waygates that the enemy used to escape were not part of Earthtropolis but part of separate AraComplexes that would be absorbed in near future. Communications came to the Lunar Labyrinth Colony that refugees were entering Earthtropolis in large numbers, the UN Enclaves being down sized. The refugees were being adapted, and were adapting, to the conditions of Earthtropolis. Many were still going to the LL but at least half of those would end up in the Earthtropolis like Bigtropolis. Earthtropolis was expanding but there was no evidence it was even approaching the great continents of the Continent of Mist and the Shadow Continent. This also went for the Lunar Labyrinth and Spacetropolis. A soft sparkling shimmer passed through the whole of Earth and the Moon along with everything in them. The area of space, around Terra and engulfing Luna, was not spared and that included Spacetropolis. **************************************************************************************************** One 60a Walter stared in wonder around the great, grim, but darkly beautiful chamber of the sunken city. Sunken, that is, into the ground as if it had been pressed downwards by a great force while becoming only lightly distorted. Yet, its time of abandonment, seemed to coincide with that event; that is what the information, on the walls, spoke of that could be decoded. The peoples of that troubled city were linked with those of ancient Atlantis, the citystate that most humans knew of only as much distorted stories or total fables. Some Atlantians had come through a series of Waygateways, to get to that location, thousands of years before current civilisations had begun to exist. Walter stopped, with a hard frown, as his UNPSIA bodyguards stopped with him; they were body-armoured and well armed. What he was looking at concerned him from first; it was a horror of a statue but one only too familiar to him; the ancient evil of Kthulhu, a great monster of multiple distorted possible appearances, was shown in his most common forms as a tall, angular, man with clothing like substance being an actual part of his shapeform. Thus he seemed to almost wear a vulgar, ugly, robe and boots of strange flesh. Kthulhu had been worshipped by some ancient peoples of the world before a short, violent, war had put that to an end along with three corrupted citystates. Even back then there had been links between the ancient belief system, Atlantis and even the Ancient Zaztek Empire along with others. It was a secret, to most, that the PanAxian elites had worshipped Kthulhu as a minor, secondary, god. Armstrong had spoken, briefly, of there being a link between Kthulhu and the Great Enemy as trapped in the NullVoid. Kthulhu was far from alone in the pantheon of monstrous entities that he led, along with three others, on a more practical level; higher than them was one, a supreme entity of darkest mystery, and below the three were nine lesser entities. The number '13' had come up yet again. Walter realised that the Known Lunar Labyrinth was far more an ancient link with humanity than was generally assumed and that its purpose was also far more ancient, perhaps far older than Terran humanity itself. None of this surprised, or shocked him. He did some data recordings and set out to rejoin the rest of the UNPSIA specialist taskteam. As he did a platoon of supersoldiers darted smoothly past him and his entourage but did send out a quick greeting. Maharg67
One 60a (continued from previous Post #98) Olivia, Peter and others were in a great oval shaped chamber where big portable electric lamps lit up the area quite well. There were UNPSIA bodyguards and Troopers along with other elements such as techies, workers and field-doctors. There were also specialists such as archeologists, mythology historians and others that might assist in understanding that place. There was a platoon of supersoldiers, along with four metadogs and their metaclone supersoldier handlers. Armstrong was there, frowning softly as he looked around that place. He saw Walter and walked over to face him. Armstrong spoke. "This place should not be here! It was supposedly destroyed, totally, an extremely long time ago. Some form of reality shift has brought it back but I suspect it was no coincidence but was assisted to take place. As an aspect of the Eternal Guardian I see both threat and hope in this appearance. That is we may find clues here that will show us what is really happening, even if it is what most assume what it is that is happening." Walter nodded. "William Bell, and I, worked on a Terran underground site of ancient ruins where there were indications of Kthulhu worship. We found there a number of artefacts that appeared to be of alien technological origins. They were, in some ways, like Greynari technologies. That was shortly before William Bell betrayed others, and myself, stealing those artefact and many others; he, and his people, vanished away to some unknown location. I have been wondering recently if they had somehow gotten here to the Known Lunar Labyrinth." The captain smiled but not greatly. "Now I am free to inform you, by the coda that binds us True Eternals, that that is exactly what happened. William Bell still dwells here, along with others that came with him, and he has very strong links with the Big13 that has vanished from Terra. You will get a chance to meet him, in future, but be prepared for some changes to have happened to him; he is no longer the man that you knew, does not have the same identity. His treachery was rewarded in a most proper dark karmic fashion. I can say no more at this moment because the information is locked inside me; it is not a choice for me to speak of such things." With great understanding now, of True Eternals, Walter smiled back. Edited May 16, 2015 by Maharg67

Data was pouring in from many sources including audio-visual reports from people and yet it was all coming from within the Known Lunar Labyrinth. In Tarrytropolis, LabyrinthCity and Bigtropolis woke humans, of different kinds, other peoples and other lifeforms had awoken to a changed reality. The three were now part of what would become known as Labyrinthburg, a supercity and AraArtefact, containing also three other 'supercities' and other city like structures. The UNPSIA was quick to get up and running with its changes, and greater resources. Communications were achieved with the United Nations Lunar Labyrinth Government, the UNMSIA and other organisations. It was quickly realised that communications with the home world, the Lunar Surface and space was cut off. How much time had passed before a kind of 'black out' had happened on multitudes in the KLL? Computer data indicated almost exactly 100 years had passed, in Terran terms. Then came the discovery that LL people, not in the three supercities at the time of the 'black out' had lived through the 100 years or had chosen to go into one of the supercities where they had at once become part of the process effecting others there. Walter Bishop studied some special psychological demographic reports, on a secondary 3Dscreen, and shook his head in wonder, in bewilderment. Olivia Dunham came up beside him and nodded. "Yes, we 'sense' the presence of each other, those of us in Labyrinthburg, we share a secondary mentality. The data appears to be coming from Labyrinthburg itself; it appears to be 'reading' us somehow." Walter shrugged. "The 'Observers' appeared to have some kind of shared secondary mentality but it was technologically based, though most exotic in nature. The Observers' main symbol was very similar to that of the PanAxis and both had something in common with that of the briefly lived UWG. Odd that we did not realise that before." Then he turned as Scully joined them, she wearing an odd expression. "Not odd at all, Walter. We have always been a 'unity' but a largely dysfunctional one. We hid the truth from ourselves when it reminded us of things we did not want to face but it was done in a haphazard fashion. I wish to show you something of importance."
