saurusmaximus
So, the whole ban on Talos is more of a political move? Sorry, I'm just having a hard time believing that, as savvy as the Altmer have shown themselves to be on matters of the arcane, they don't understand this. They view Talos under the same lens as the Aedra, because it's impossible to understand CHIM without achieving it. IF Talos was an Aedra, their plan would work. They have no way of knowing that he isn't though. Okay, then how do WE know he isn't? Or is this another case of we're-getting-lore-from-outside-the-game-world? Lachdonin
The primary in-game source indicating that Talos is NOT an Aedra, is the Mysterium Xerxes, though that crazy guy in Whiterun paraphrases a lot of it.

Alright, that makes sense. Thanks.
MotoSxorpio
I see, thanks. So in tesvi we might hear how the dragonborn gained immortality from his soul feasting amd went to akavir to look for the nerevarine and was never heard of again. Lol.This is TES lore...you never know what happens next.

Moksha8088
All Tamriel deities spring from the subterranean caverns of Bethesda and are subject to change without notice. In the latest incarnation, Talos was elevated to a supreme status and his shrines have the power to cure all diseases and increase dragon shouts for the player by 20%. What greater manifestation of Godhood is needed beyond that?
Madcat221
He walked like Them until They had to walk like Him. Talos is not Aedric. He has transcended beyond such definitions. He is affirmation that Lorkhan's crazy idea is valid. And that's why the Thalmor hate Talos.
Rethrain
Yep, it's a pity Beth was never interested in the main character of their games and their...continuity. The Dragonborn will probably become Herma-Mora's sock puppet, like a chump.
BlackerrR
There are 3 great video covering Talos' life and else, if anyone is interested and have time, start with this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZjneISs-vA It doesn't give you specific answer, but maybe it can help you to reach your own conclusion. Also they don't cover everything. If you want to learn even more, imperial library is the best source you can find.
