Melisande
"Helstar!" Melisande whispers harshly, trying to get his attention. "The tents - I think I saw something!" She quietly backs away from the circle, and takes a circuitous route to the area she thinks she saw something.
wesaynothin
Helstar flashes a quick smile through the group, trying to give them a feeling of calmness. he then quickly gets up and follows Melisande out of the tent. He follows Melisande, looking around worridley. OOC:Is worridley a word?
Kethruch
Helstar and Melisande OOC - The word is worriedly, and it does exist. You approach the tents, and Melisande's view was correct. There are two figures first going to, then quietly through the entrance to the supply tent. They make no sound - no russle nor footdrop, as you watch and listen. Emry
Linden moves a few paces closer to the guards and visually checks that they are merely asleep and not something more. After checking their well being, she places her mace at her feet, then quickly strings her bow and knocks an arrow. She places herself between the guards and the "incoming" tools. She scans the area behind them, making sure that nothing is sneaking up on them. "Most Holy, watch over your servants this night and prepare them for the coming battle" she whispers. She glances over to Alenee. " I've got your back."
Kethruch
Linden and Alenee The parade of tools continues toward you. The woods seem to have gone eerily quiet - not even the night-frogs are peeping. The guards are definitely out cold - shaking will not awaken them. As the tools come into range, there is no sign of them stopping.
Peregrine
Apparently undisturbed by the strangeness of events, Alenee's crouches perfectly still, waiting for her first target to close into range. Shifting her aim slightly onto a particularly evil looking shovel, she releases the arrow.
Kethruch
Linden and Alenee Alenee's arrow flies true, and strikes the shovel with a clang, ricocheting off into the darkness. The shovel's path is disturbed but a little by this, and it continues on toward it's ultimate goal. As it approaches, it is starting to become clear that this path will bring it to the roof of the tomb. You can now see in the dim light of the watch-torches that there are eight tools in all - three shovels, three picks, an odd-looking hammer, and a small cart (about 3' cube on two wooden wheels). Some of the tools are at eye level, as if being carried like polearms in front of some unseen army, others are dragging across the ground, and the cart's handles are straight out. You remember seeing these kinds of tools on the other side of the construction, where they were digging into the hill to create an underground chamber. Peregrine
Realizing her mistake, Alenee draws back a second arrow. This time, she aims for a spot just behind the shovel, at the point where a person would be standing to carry it in the way that it it floating. With a whispered prayer to Yabeth, she releases the arrow.
Emry
As Linden sees the effect of Alenee's arrow, she draws the bow and aims at a spot as if a person is carrying the floating tools (she's aiming for the chest area of the "person" who would be carrying the same shovel Alenee hit) and releases in a swift, sure motion. She then re-nocks her bow.
Kethruch
Alenee and Linden Both arrows fly true, and practically cross at the handle of the shovel. There is an audible "Ummph", and the shovel drops to the ground with a clatter. The other tools stop for a second, then continue on.
