1erCru: 2 million downloads over a few years, and unless he removed SMIM from the Nexus, people will still download the free, old version from here, not to mention who already downloaded it won't have to download it again, especially just for an update as it works pretty well. Edited by antipax

You've got to remember that if a high price is set for a type of mod, let's say armor mods. If I charge 25 USD for it then the next guy to upload one will go s#*! I like 25 USD also then you set a standard of high prices and people will pay it making it a standard. I'd sooner pay you to not be on steam.

A donation system would be great. People who make mods worthy of pay would actually gain money. Mod authors....don't put your mods on SW. You wouldn't benefit in remotely any way. If your mods become successful and sell, 75% of all profit goes to valve. What's the point in that? Valve makes money off your hard worked mods? That's completely stupid.

Please don´t get me wrong here, folks. I don´t agree with BethValves strategy. But I don´t like some of the behavior towards Mod-Authors whose Mods have been there for years, used by many with no second thought about the time and dedication the authors bring into this.
cheers.

Wet and Cold is set default at $5, but if you select the drop down arrow it allows you to pay as little as $1 for it.... a lot of these mods are listed as pay what you want. It just requires a little bit of extra searching.

That said, the Midas Magic gold minimum price is $3 for like... 10 extra spells. No. Edited by sojourner22

You're mod is a delight and a necessity.

It scares me that someone may realize the profit in stealing other peoples mods and placing them up for sale on steam. Now we mod authors need to monitor our mods on the nexus, and on steam, or someone could profit from our work!

Seems like a nightmare situation to me.

Wait so if I buy a mod on steam does that just translate to steam wallet money for the developer? Not pay the bills or buy dinner money? That's what I heard but I don't know if that's true is there anyone that can clarify on this? I really really doubt that's true but if it is than that changes everything for me. :/

This will be the death of the Nexus and of modding. No one will put their mod up on Steam for a fee when people can get it for free here. That means that modders will only put their work on Steam exclusively. There are those who would pay for exceptionally good mods but I think that the vast number of gamers will not just like they do not buy their games. The upshot is that this work will end up on the pirate sites and the rest of us will have to follow. Sad, so sad.
