Dilvish
It’s Halloween and the barriers between this world and other worlds are growing thin. Spirits of the dead and cosmic forces move through the darkness. Do you light a candle, lamp, or fire? How do you celebrate?
Stampede
I used to do dumb stuff, like throwing eggs and firecrackers at people. Now I try get out the house and go shack up somewhere. I don't like being home 'cos of trick or treaters and I don't like being outside because a lot of bad stuff happens here at Halloween, so I go hang out somewhere safe. Already almost had an incident tonight, I was driving and some dude was running around in the middle of the road with a brick in his hand. I avoided him. Povuholo
I don't really do anything at Halloween. Our country isn't really 'Halloween active'. There was a boy at school though(one of the oldest there, so he won't be laughed at. Everyone liked it :P) who was wearing a scream costume the whole day. I'd love to see the look on the face of the teachers when he walks in and sits down as if nothing's wrong. I remember one kid who came to trick-or-treat (well he said: Can I have candy?) at our door last year. His costume was a sticker with a skull on it which was about the size of a creditcard (A little smaller) which he sticked on his white t-shirt. Scary... I wish Halloween was celebrated here too... Sounds like a lot of fun to see people running around in all kinds of crazy costumes. Happy Halloween! ThetaOrionis01
I enjoy the confused look that slowly crawls across neds' faces on this day, when they launch into their customary greeting of 'Oi! It's not Halloween ye-' upon sighting a goth.
Abramul
Nothing this year, but I'm giving some consideration to the idea of creating a set of Ordinator armor for next year...
SerpentofShadow
I'm drinking until I can't stand (or sit) and blasting black and death metal to all the people that come up to my door. Instead of candy they can enjoy such good music as Morbid Angel, Deicide, Old Man's Child, and Zyklon to name a few... :) Good times. Was hoping someone made a halloween thread so I could say "I'll drink to that!" Don't worry everyone, the only scary thing you can find in the night is... me... Well Stampede, you could probably find worse... *starts the process*
Mercbird
Went to a funeral, had a good cry and lots of wine. But it was not really planned, was it? Living in a far more conservative city than Stampede, Halloween gets pretty much ignored around here. Its only used as a reason for merchandising (demon gods of sales and marketing) and some vandals who watch too much t.v. as an excuse. Cape Town has a far more openly pagan/wiccan/whatever population, but I dont think the guy with the brick was one of those. Personally, its the beggining of summer which makes it difficult to even imagine cold dead bodies and spooks, and just too damm hot to care. Peregrine
And despite living in a town with a 50,000 person halloween party, I did exactly nothing tonight. It's kind of overrated though, once you've been a couple years.Cape Town has a far more openly pagan/wiccan/whatever population, but I dont think the guy with the brick was one of those. You mean they actually treat it as a religious thing down there? Here it's just an excuse to have a party, even in the heart of jesusland.

Big parties in the clubs, while the wiccans do whatever it is they do. Then we have the wimpy wannabe satanists who will kill a cat for their dark overlord and like my buddy with the brick, we also have the general psychos/hooligans who just take advantage of the hype to wreak havoc. Switch
Sounds fun. O.o I think we had one group of kids call at the door trick or treating. And that was it. ;) I did nothing, like every Halloween (except watch a sectuple bill of Treehouse of Horror episodes, of course). It's strange to hear you talk about sweltering heat at Halloween Mercbird... it's the day after here and the temperatures are like mid winter. Barely 3 degrees C. :X
