Was it said somewhere that this is +200 years after fallout 3?
EDIT: Nvm I see what you were saying.

Those parts are probably going to be used for an intro to the game or as flashbacks.

Actually, here's my thought: Maybe the part set right before the nuclear apocalypse will be some sort of prologue? That idea has its flaws but it would nonetheless be awesome, seeing Boston get Nuked.

You raise a good point. I just can't picture actually running around in fallout universe pre-war (other than in a simulation). I would expect it to at least be very limited gameplay wise.

I agree that the prologue idea is a good possibility. Edited by Bow6Pro

Looks great, I love the look of the populated wasteland, the towns/cities are looking great. Can not wait for E3 see what Bethesda have to add. This and Xcom 2, its all good with me!

Yah dog! Yah Boston! Please let the player NOT be as ugly as before. A non-link to pre-order before a release date? Booo.

edit: left out the all important "not"

Everything looked so different, like Borderlands :/
BillNyeTheScienceGuy wrote: I highly doubt it. I know a lot of people argued about Fallout 3 being too bland and green after 200 years? The sky would have cleared up (No green tint) and the flora would have started slowly growing back. If anything this looks similar to RAGE.

jim_uk wrote: Bethesda own the RAGE engine so it's possible, if it is id Tech then modding may be a problem.

I think it is a modified Id tech 6

I think it's all the textures and tinting that got me thinking of RAGE :p

God this is going to be a good year ~.~

I tried it for Amazon UK just to see if there was any more info, it took me to Fallout New Vegas.
