Deleted3507349User
I interpreted 'internet connection required' to mean that it just had to be registered online through Steam (well, DUH).
DoctorKaizeld
i feel like they should add "to install" at the end of "internet connection required" to correct the misunderstanding.
TeamBacon
Who actually has a blu-ray drive inside of a desktop computer? Maybe 5% of people...

TheOriginalEvilD
Skyrim came with the full game on disk. Any updates had to be downloaded. The Anthology however includes a fully up-to-date full game on disk (game AND all DLC). Bethesda used the Konami code on this one. As far as combating piracy, on the day it was released cracked versions were popping up like toadstools. Like qwertyzeldar said, they did to save money...blu-ray media is up to twice as expensive (at least at retail prices). Still no excuse.Well that's a load of crap then. There have and probably will be times when I don't have internet connection for periods of time, and if I bought this game and found that I had to DL most of it, I would certainly be irate. TeamBacon
dont a large number of microsoft computers come with them these days? Not as far as I know, but I haven't worked in that industry for years, so I could be wrong. Just saying that I have never seen anyone have a Blu-ray drive in their computer before. Warmaker01
Buying a physical copy of a game doesn't give you everything you need to play the game from discs anymore without an internet connection. Man, that has not been mainstream in PC for many years now, especially for big name titles. I wish it wasn't so, especially being forced to use extra software to just play a damn game that I legally bought. Hell, PC game sections in stores now are practically extinct also. Karstedt
Opting into the latest beta wiped my installation...so after having to download %90 of a game I bought a hard copy of (the Pip-Boy edition), which also cost me over $100 more because I'm on a limited bandwidth ISP, I now get to download the complete thing all over again? Bite me...I bought a hard copy, I want a full friggin' HARD COPY (don't mind downloading updates, mind you).Yeah, that was a dick move. I was pissed when i installed my copy only to realize it wasnt installed... and in fact takes about 24 hours to install.
DIV1D3
I'd just like to point out, backup your saves frequently, I've done it every day since getting past 12 hours. Mods and other randomness is making it so that saves are corrupted and the like, so backing up your progress is a really good idea.
Deleted3507349User
Heck, even using dual-layer DVD would only mean three disks...and DVD *is* standard. LOL I wonder how much of the game size is just so we can hear Codsworth say "Mr. ***face"...*rolleyes* I'd check myself to see how large the sound bsa is, but since the whole thing evaporated from my steamapps folder...(how does that even work, anyway?)
