Thallassa
Figured it'd be nice to discuss favorite foods and recipes, especially since I bet a lot of people here have very creative or diverse foods they eat a lot.(I didn't see any other thread like this so if there is one already point me to it!)Today I am eating chicken and rice cooked by my sweetie. Amounts and times are approximate. This is fairly hard to screw up.0.5 kg chicken (1 lb), chopped bite-size200 g salt pork (mostly just fat, bacon would probably work too or we've done it with serrano ham which was amazing, but then we used a lot less, more like 100 g). should be chopped pretty finely. A lot of the flavor comes from this so it is pretty important.2 bell peppers (the sweet kind!), chopped coarsely1 onion, chopped (doesn't really matter how coarse because it will cook down).1 small can diced tomatoessalt, pepper, oregano, and garlic to taste Sautee the meat. Set aside and brown the onions and wilt the bell peppers in the same pan (so they can cook in all that delicious fat). Also add in the garlic. If you're using fresh garlic, then definitely add it in here; if you're using garlic powder I would add half now and half when you add the tomatoes. If the ham or pork isn't very fatty you may need to add some vegetable oil. Add the meat back in, along with the tomatoes and all the spices except pepper. Cook together about 15 minutes more. Add the pepper. Serve over rice or pasta (or any other starch you have handy. This goes on most things). I just got an order of tea from China so I am drinking autumn 2015 imperial Yunnan gold tip black tea to go with it :) (Ok that sounds like a mouthful when I type it out. It is very nice tea... if you ever want to talk about tea I can talk about it for ages!) What are you eating today?

moose109
For breakfast I had custard & corn flakes, lunch was ice cream with chips, and for supper I'll be having Sloppy Joe's and cold potato salad. The reason for such a weird menu is it's hot as hell here(37-40°C for the past week in the coolest part of the house).
Deleted54170User
I'm having food stuff that resembles Fallout 4 packets found in the Boston area. I found some stuff. Four by three inch thin crust hard tack bread with a layer of frosting on them. The packet says, "brown sugar cinnamon". I got some water that was boiled. Found some coffee beans and ground them up in an electric mortar and pestle device. I think I'll call the drink, "Me's expression coffee". I sure got a strange expression on my face when I tasted it. At least it is caffeinated and not that Octopus ink they call decaf.
