Jeir
Blocked CBBE too. I don't mind a few nude mods but the CBBE stuff is getting too much. I'm not talking of CBBE itself but of the TON of skimpy clothes. These are annoying. But it was the same with Skyrim back in the days. Look at the Skyrim top files now, its much better. You could just block the 'skimpy' tag.Although, a lot of people seem to tag mods that have nothing to do with clothing with it, even though there's already a 'nudity' tag. Guess there's a flaw with that idea. Hm. ~~~Also, erm, to the OP...Caliente and I are both female. Caliente made CBBE because the vanilla bodies were ugly; BethSoft has never managed to get character creation right. We want our characters to be attractive, with realistically proportioned bodies. Many people use CBBE for that exact reason. Admittedly, many people also like making bodies that are as fake as possible, but that's their choice. Here's a Life Pro Tip - look at real porn or get a girlfriend! Nudity does not equal porn (neither does skimpy clothes, funnily enough), and I'm straight. There are also many men and women who are in relationships who also use body mods. There is nothing wrong with wanting attractive characters in the games you play; just as there's nothing wrong with being 100% happy with the vanilla files as they are. Also, I'm not really sure what you mean about hotfiles being 'dominated' by CBBE. The first week? Sure. But now I never see more than one or two up there. Currently there is one mod that offers clothing for CBBE and the Vanilla body, a weapon, another outfit mod that is for CBBE, and three mods for settlements. So, only about 1.5/5 are CBBE related. fifteenspades
To be fair you need to give more credit to Caliente, he/she put a lot of work into the mod and it's high quality at that. Not to mention all the work and effort put into Bodyslide. It's not just "naked ladies"

Not to mention all the work and effort put into Bodyslide. It's not just "naked ladies"Mmh... I still would like to have it paired with a male version. If I'm installing body mods with nudity I want it to be for both genders, otherwise it would be weird. I'll look into it when the male pair comes, unless there's something already for the previous Fallout games. I would like such a mod for 3 and NV, of course, making sure they look natural and not like Kim Kardashian clones...
Arnaeus
You could just block the 'skimpy' tag. You're right. Blocking skimpy too.---I do appreciate the work and effort put into CBBE. I had it installed when I was playing Skyrim because of some armor mods that weren't skimpy or immersion breaking at all. Its different with Fallout 4 though: All my followers, male or female, wear powerarmor or that bulky heavy combat armor. I simply don't need body mods in this game. By blocking CBBE I wont miss anything of interest to me - at the moment. That may change when the number of interesting armor mods is growing. I just want to dress my character in cool and cute clothing and armor and have nice, seamless and HD skin textures and my pc to have a real female shape. There is also a lot of female users who use these mods. Still, I have to mourn the death state of the Skyrim body mod CNHF.
DarthZiZi
CBBE is a good mod in terms of what stuff it can do. However, I never understood the urge to put naked bodies to the game, boobs with nipples and pussies. C'mon... Imagine a real wasteland. Would you see naked people there? When you loot the body do you really take off their pants and bras? What for? To smell it or wear it? Hell no! I think it comes to personal taste. As a immersion lover I'm not using mods like this because wearing skimpy armour in the wasteland irradiated so badly that my food is talking and walking is not good idea. And I'm guy for Atom's sake, so I play as a guy, and I don't like male bums and sausages even if it is mine I have to look at. CBBE is good mod that makes the bodies look more natural etc. it is the other mods for pussies, boobs, hairstyles down there etc. that puts me off. The looks would be least of your problems in wasteland ;)PS. Thanks for the tip about tag blocking. It's helpful :)
Degasai
"When you've seen one woman nekkid, you pretty much want to see them ALL nekkid" -Ron White- Huge thank you's to Caliente, Jeir and Ousinous (sp). I've been modding skimpy outfits into my games since Morrowind and the Sims. I like 'em! And I haven't been a teenager since 1972, LOL. If you think it's bad in games released in the U.S., check out the games they're playing in Korea, sheesh. Meanwhile, play your game and I'll play mine  /salute

Some fallout armors are hardly covering as well. Like tribal armor for one. And CBBE doesn't make your armors skimpy and has an underwear version. There is nothing wrong in playing the other gender, I have been doing that all my childhood and some of my teenage hood, even story based romance games aimed at guys. You are spooked out of no where. DDProductions83
Hey HEY!I'm trying here, I can only eat up so many hot files spots and release so many crafting mods in a given timeframe!!!! That being said.. I actually don't mind some of the CBBE stuff, it's when it gets to the straight idiotic and pron or pedo related looking ones that I start losing my mind. The base isn't the issue it's what's done with it, much like guns and charity
TeamBacon
Let me start off by saying that I am not against mods such as CBBE, and I don't think having controls over what people make or choose to endorse at the top is ever the answer. But I do think there is a side to this conversation that people are not acknowledging, and I think it is important for us all to consider. It isn't as simple as just saying, 'download what you want, filter what you don't' like it doesn't effect us as a whole when things like this fill the top 5. Whether you like it or not, the Nexus is a brand, and modding as a hobby has an image. The top 5 gives an image of what we are about as a modding community, and it is not exactly an image I am entirely proud of. It isn't that I am against nudity or skimpy outfits or any of it. I don't view anything at all inherently wrong with a naked human body. I have worked with cadavers, I have studied anatomy both as an artist drawing nude models and from an injury perspective working a job where I help people with sports related injuries. I very much respect the art behind portraying the human form. What I don't like is it being sold as if we, modders as a whole, are just a bunch of pervy teenagers that will endorse anything that has a big butt, boobs, or vagina on the cover. I personally would find it more palatable if things were just presented as the art it is, and not like the cover of a dvd in an adult video store. I just personally recommend treating it like a fine art painting, appreciate the beauty, but in a way that isn't so childish or sleazy. If I were a moderator on the Nexus, I don't think I would want the Nexus brand that I am associated with to be looked at like it is a semi-porno site. Though like I said, I don't support straight up censoring things, but I think the discussion is one worth having and shouldn't just end in, 'block it if you don't like it'.
