Yes Wax you are an amazing modder and load order master. You helped me get everything running smoothly and understand my mods and what they do and where to put everything. I think you having a donation link is a great idea, I dont know where you live but donations are considered non taxable up to a certain amount or you can offer a service and services are considered non taxable. Any way thank you Wax and Ethreon for taking the time to make this post, and mods you guys do so well

Thanks for the kind words. Im glad that the guide helps. I wouldn't consider myself a modder, but I guess that's a question of individual definition. At least, I am just a mod user like yourself, not a mod author.

The thing about donations is: in Germany (and not only here), the term "donation" legally only applies to non-profit organizations (in almost every case charity organizations) and in that case they are free of taxes for the organization and the donator can offset his donation against his taxes as well. Everything else is considered a business and a "donation" to a business is considered either sponsoring or plain revenue, in both cases not free of taxes, no matter if I offer a service or a product. So legally, the only way would be to register a business or self-employment and declare and pay taxes for the "donations" received.

And while there are some people, where it might make sense to do that even in Germany, like for example some of the bigger german twitch streamers (Gronkh or The Rocketbeans might be names known to some people even outside of Germany for example), who can actually make a living or at least fund parts of their business from the "donations" they get, I really don't think it's worth the bureaucratic hassle in this case. And I am not the guy for any kind of illegal or semi-legal grey area things.

Last but not least: I do this for fun and I enjoy helping people. I will stop doing it, as soon as I don't enjoy it anymore. That's probably the biggest difference to work.

So: thanks! I appreciate the thought, but a simple "Thank you" is totally fine as well! :D

@Ethreon: Umm, just send me a PM if you got something to talk about. I'll get to it whenever I see it and have the time.

This post should be updated.

#1 says do not use SSEX, Safe SSEX, or working food planters.

The creater of SSEX just released a new update not long ago and performed a complete rewrite on the mod, completing avoiding the use of falloutsnip. It was a complete rewrite, so this is no longer applicable to this mod. Should update the post as it's being linked to from various other sources as a major resource towards avoiding conflicts.

Darn, you got me excited for no reason

That's the same Safe SSEX that was last updated back in November. The rate at which the FO4 modding community is expanding almost 3 months is actually kind of long ago.

This is the problem of fan bois. The evidence against Homemaker is mounting. Crashes, and even corrupt saves, can't save it. The CK maybe able to, but I won't hold my breath on it. The funny thing is, it wasn't until I hit somewhere between 150 and 200 hours into the game, when it crashed. I was building stuff for the settlement, and it crashed. Went to try to load the save I made just before the crash, it wouldn't load, and crashed the game. The one before, same things. I rolled back to about 20 hours into the game, and that worked. So, I went through the game, again, this time doing more building of Sanctuary and Red Rocket, and lo and behold, crash. Corrupt save, again. And guess what the culprit was? Homemaker. That was the only settlement mod I had running. No Spring Cleaning, no other settlement mod but that one. Switched to a different profile, without Homemaker, but I do have a few other settlement mods, such as Alternate Settlements, Spring Cleaning, and a few others, and no corruption of saved game. That tells me one thing, that running Homemaker, if you are lucky not to CTD, will corrupt your saves. So, best to finish the main game as quickly as you can, before your save becomes corrupted with this mod that is a port from TESSnip to TESVEfdit, rather than a built from scratch in TESVEdit. Or, if you want to call it it modded name, FO4Edit.

That's not a very systematic method of testing a mod's stability.

Leave him be. Ignorance will never admit to its own problems.

Even if the author had pushed out an update, that mod would still a complete mess unless he completely rewrote it and did a massive amount of cleaning. If you dig through that mod in FO4Edit you will see how much of a mess it is.

Others here seem to be playing games with others on the forum who don't know any better. Wax, Gambit, and Eth are some of the most knowledgeable people here in regards to load order and mod compatibility. Just take a look at their many posts on the subject and you will quickly realize who the subject authorities, and trusted sources are.

There is no need for SSex anymore as Homemaker, Alternate Settlements, Alternate Furniture, etc, provide everything that SSex did and more. All without causing conflicts with other mods (if Wax's guide is followed) and without the risk of corrupted saves.
