nilay913
What about if it were to be from another elder scrolls game, such as oblivion and was a sword?
JimboUK
What about if it were to be from another elder scrolls game, such as oblivion and was a sword? You can't take stock assets from one game and put them in another, not unless the developer has said so which Bethesda certainly hasn't.
bben46
In fact. Bethesda has explicitly forbidden use of assets from any Beth game to be used in another Beth game. However, if you are working with Fallout New Vegas - many of the assets from Fallout 3 are included in the GECK - even many that are not used in New Vegas. These are allowed - thanks Obsidian. Unfortunately - they do not allow assets from New Vegas to be used in Fallout 3. The reason is that the actual copyrights for many of the assets are not owned by Bethsoft, but were licensed to them for one game only. And if they allow the use in another game - they would be opening themselves up for copyright infringement lawsuits by the actual copyright owners. Other game companies have been more free with their assets, While most are completely closed to using their copyrighted material in modding. But it is always a good idea to ask first. You may get lucky.

TheVampireDante
Yes they do, but with their content. CdProjekt can't dictate how other people and companies legislate over their property and creations.
