Hexxagone
They released it after the 1.4 Patch for Skyrim. Since the 1.3 Patch for Fallout 4 is coming, that may mean that by the end of this month or sooner, the Creation Kit will be available for download. Boombro
Good note, but it this time it different and fo4 1.3 patch is out already. It seems they really want to upgrade this time around. Make super simple, and I don't know if I picked that right, but maybe usable from console? They did say anytime from today till march (Q1.) TheVampireDante
Bold assumption. Doesn't necessarily ring true, they could hold it off for a lot longer - possibly until after some DLC sales.
Rabbit1251
Won't get my hopes up. It will get here when it gets here. Rabbit
jcdenton2012
I expect that it will come out a few weeks prior to the first DLC so that players can get accustomed to modding with it before they start playing with the content from the first DLC. You have to think like 'a suit.' You want people to stay interested in your product so launching the GECK between the F4 release and the first major DLC keeps people fixated on F4 during the lull. Unfortunately, this is mere speculation by me.
Hexxagone
Right, they could hold off longer to release it but i dont think they will wait much longer, Skyrim got its first DLC 7 months after release. If they wait 6 months to release it, it may kill the game.
Klipperken
Killing a game, one does this by NOT releasing the mod tools with the game.Proof?FO4Edit is one. What Beth seems to miss entirely, is that mods make their game. Sad but true.Imagine FO4Edit or other tools did not exist, how long would it have taken for FO4 to survive? Hexxagone
Maybe not, but it worked well for Skyrim so I don't see why they wouldn't do the same.
